I've never understood the aaoeal of video reviewers. The damn things take forever and usually the video quality and or reviewer are terrible. Just give me some quick thoughts and good pictures and I'm happy.

when I want to buy a toy and I am not decided whether I want it or not, I have to search youtube, video reviews makes it really easy to see if something is worth it or not, or what features it brings, what joints it has,

every time, I am really really glad someone on youtube took their time and effort to do a review,
sometimes with toys all your get on google is the pics from the official website, so you are screwed,

I like watching the reviews of this guy, he is detailed in description and he gets to the point, pretty cool youtube guy,

My wife and I have seen all the episodes and now when I bring up buying a grail she tells me to sell 2-3 cheaper statues to fund it. Uh............no im just gonna buy it and keep all my statues.

What's her beef against Sean's toys, she collects as well...i smell something fishy here!

She also does character impersonations! check out this well thought out and articulate video review!

I have to say her voice is incredibly Annoying, but I still think she is very attractive,

she is way too hot to be with Sean, something's not right,
maybe she has the Ugly Ducking Syndrome
"Beautiful people who didn't get pretty until high school or later, and were nice because they were ugly before. The niceness carries over through life."

I could see that being the case, she has an exotic beauty, maybe kids were mean when she was young

I say they come in handy if you'd like to see what the product does. If it has any special features too it, like it lights up, or makes noise.

That's really it. I prefer pictures. But I also don't mind vidoes, if done right.

I like that one dude....something Dan, that reviews GI Joes and whatnot.

sometimes it is really hard to judge from pics, since people use photoshop on them,
or you only find Official promo photos released from the company,
that has actually happened to me, I needed to see pics of a figure and could not find any, I Found some but they were not good

but there were like 3 reviews, which helped a lot, I decided to skip the figure after watching them

This statement should be followed by "now go make me a sandwich!"

Hey Guys,
Long time reader...first time poster

Did anyone notice during one of Sean's segments when they were looking at the Hot Toys figures in the detolfs that it was shown on-screen that "Iron Man Mark VI is a limited edition from Hot Toys. They only created 3000."

Is that number stated truly accurate or where is Collection Intervention sources getting their information from, as I thought that Hot Toys production numbers are not usually made public?

Trust me when I say society as a whole disagrees. And this is coming from someone who does exactly what you said you'd like to see. :lol

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I just can't stand them personally... 10 minutes of video is just too much for me to want to sit through. I personally love MWCtoys as it's generally a good read, there's very little fluff and the pictures are clear and consistent.

Since I generally collect figures w/o any action features that stuff doesn't really apply to me. But, I can see especially for something like Transformers that might be useful.

She also completely overvalued the MKI. Especially with the re-issue coming out.

Yup, we've had several advertisers requesting us to switch to that format but to me it just seems soulless. There's just something about text and pics that's not only classic, but just seems to possess a more authentic feel.

Same here GB, I actually pay the minimum attention to any reviewers unless I'm friends with them here on the boards so then I'll support them in their reviews. I don't really look at pictures of items I all ready own as well because it's right there in front of me. I'd say the most helpful thing about information on certain items is this forum and it's threads about potential problems that may occur to a new item that is being released for the first time.

Other than that... I just buy what I like and know what I want in the collection within a few minutes of looking at the release and or final production pics from the official website and some in hand pics.

Yep, generally I'm well versed enough in what I collect to be able to tell with a small amount of info if its something I need or not.

Should stop watching the show with your wife.

If I tell her it's scripted and show her the "where are they now" type interviews she'd stop watching it herself.

don't say a word to her anymore? :dunno
DONE! Than when im asked why im giving her the silent treatment i'll tell her INK told me to.:hi5:

This statement should be followed by "now go make me a sandwich!"

If I told her that she'd probably do it, just with added spit or old mayo or something.LOL

I'm pretty sure they were talking about the Avengers Promo version of Iron Man VI which was a Sideshow Exclusive that had a limited edition of 3000.

I think I might be done with this show if they're going to have ******* toy reviewers posing as a collector and his non-supportive girlfriend. :slap

they were pretty pathetic in trying to promote their little reviews,
I still don't understand how he got her to go out with him, seems odd
