Cool! I don't know if anyone else collects them but figured why not. :lol

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Somewhere along the line we have to work on the insurance section, where we can get a list of our pieces with current market value to submit for insurance purposes. Or export a list to Excel to then add the prices for such a purpose.

I always saw this as a key to the site.

If we could find a way to pull in from different sources current market value it would be great, but I think that will be touch given the diveristy of the site.

I agree Sean, I see this as a major feature that needs to get implemented in the next release or two.

I think to start, I would export the stashes as excel or csv, exporting retail price and maybe the price you paid.

Current market price is something that I would love to get added but need to figure out the best way to maintain that. A combination of eBay and user entered prices? Or prices from other sites we can link up.

The other next big feature, that might actually go in tandem with this feature, is history. I want to start maintaining a better stash history so you can see what you used to own and keep overall records of your stash over time.

Now that would be a very helpful feature. In addition to insurance it would also be nice having this type of records in case the worst happens. I know most of us couldn’t care less what happens to our stuff when we are gone BUT having just gone through cleaning out my parent’s house it would be good to know what things are worth so whoever is taking care of things has a better idea of what to do with it (toss, give away, sell.) I can’t even remember how much stuff we got rid of and how little we knew of values. We may have given away thousands of dollars worth of things just because we had no clue what it was really worth. Sorry for the morbid mood but this kind of stuff has been on my mind a lot the last 7 months.

No need to apologize, it is good to know what people want and why they want it.

I will start on at least the export with purchase price and retail price and then I can start designing how market value will play into it.

I'm really liking this idea. :D

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Sexy any chance we add a section for film frame collectibles? I've got several of these and would like to add them.

This is where I get them from.

https://filmcellsltd.com/

Alright, I added Film Cell as a type and I also went ahead and added Trend Settlers Ltd as a manufacturer right away.

This is going to be the first phase in a bunch of enhancements I am doing for the stash. I am doing eBay integration first both to try it out and to start building a price guide.

The price guide will be a mix of eBay and user indicated sales.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Been out of the game for a while. Been going a bit crazy over here. I'm glad to see the site is doing well.

Re: Collection Stash: A collection catalog platform

Hey everyone!

We just released our first round of enhancements for Collection Stash v2.5.

Version 2.5 is going to see a lot of exciting changes. We are going to be releasing 2.5 into a series of smaller releases. The first release, v2.5.0, gives users the ability to add eBay auctions and listings to collectibles.

Here is an example of some listings for The Joker Premium Format:

https://www.collectionstash.com/col...-dc-comics-the-joker-statue-exclusive-variant

Right now all listings have to be manually entered by adding the eBay item number to a collectible. For each listing you add you will earn 50 nuts! Listings can either be current or completed. Currently we are only using this information for display purposes but it will be a key feature for the other enhancements for v2.5.

Releases notes for v2.5

Documentation for Sale Listings and Transactions

As usual, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Hey guys, I was adding a lot of ebay listings this morning for my stuff and came up with an idea. If you want the price guide to be a big part of this site (and I know I do) would it maybe be an idea to create "care takers" who would be responsible for things. For example I would take the Star Wars Mythos line and update the listings once a month so they stay current? I know you couldn't cover everything this way but maybe it could take care of some of the bigger ticket items. I know there are people who follow things on ebay anyway so maybe they wouldn't mind doing this? Just an idea.

I think that is a fantastic idea!

See if you can spread the word and I will try and do the same. Once we find some interested people maybe we can figure out how to divide it up.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Hey everyone!

We pushed out another release(2.5.1) for v2.5. This release contains some UI updates and some usability updates.

We want to make Collection Stash feel like a real application, rather than just another standard website. We trying to make sure that the data you need is always available to you as well as the tools you need to maintain your collection.

To start we have updated the search results page (the changes to this page will carry over to other listing pages in the future). We have made the photos larger, displaying more information in the listing, letting you know if you have this in your collection already, and allowing you to view more detailed information right on the page.

Here is what the new search results page looks like:

Now if you click anywhere in a collectible listing, more information will display on the right side.

We also updated how you add collectibles to your stash. You will still always click the acorn icon, but this now you can add the collectible to your stash and enter in information without leaving the page.

If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. I hope these updates help you better navigate Collection Stash and maintain your own Stash.
