Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

I haven't stumbled across that in my short time of the endeavor. But I am keeping a spread sheet with all the pertinent information. My friend likes to call it "evidence." But I really wanna keep track, because I'm at over $4000, and haven't even started building yet!

Why do you ask?

Just spit balling right now but there is no reason Collection Stash couldn't be used for the same thing. Just like we have custom action figures with custom parts. You are making a droid with custom parts.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Alright ladies and gents. Release 2.5.2 is out! This is a continuation of our overall 2.5 release which includes a lot of enhancements to the Stash.

The major feature for this version is the start of our history feature. We are opening up Collection Stash so you can start maintaining a history of your entire stash over time, instead of what you currently own.

When you go to remove a collectible from your stash, you will now be asked why you are removing it.

By selecting "Sold" or "Traded" your collectible will be removed from your main stash view and to history.

Here is what the modal looks like when selecting sold.

You can view your removed items on your "History" page which is located on your "My Stash" view.

The "History" view is pretty simplistic for now but we will be enhancing it as we go. There is a graph at the top, broken down into years that will show you what you bought/sold by month.

At first the graph might tell you that you do not have enough information to draw it. That is because you most likely have not set purchase dates on your collectibles. To get the most out of Collection Stash, update the collectibles in your stash to indicate when you purchased the collectible. It is not necessary to get down to the exact day but the closer to the exact month you can get will give you better results.

When you remove a collectible because you sold it, a listing will also be added to that collectible. This will help us build out our internal price guide.

Here is an example of what the Darth Vader PF EX listing view looks like.

When you get a chance, check it out! If you have already removed stuff from your collection no worries. You can just add them back for now and then remove them right away.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Oh.... that's how you add stuff to history. I was trying to add stuff I all ready sold that wasn't in my current stash... Might be sad to see all I got rid of though. :(

:) :(

I could add something that would just add it to history I will put that on the back log

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Its not that big a deal, I just couldn't figure it out. Operator error not design flaw. :)

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

I tried to remove a collectible from my stash, and then i have to enter a reason why I remove it.
Sure, I sold it. so I choose "sold".

but then I have to enter the price and date, apaprently it's mandatory. I'm sorry, but thats none of your business. Even though it will probably not show up anywhere, I don't really feel the need to enter it.

Ya I can agree with that. Currently it is setup to be mandatory but it is a restriction I can remove. The reason I added it that was for you as the user to keep better track of what you are doing but I can understand the need for not wanting to enter it.

I think I would still like to keep the date mandatory though, although maybe again that should be up to the user how much information they want to give. The more you give the better your experience will be but in the end I guess that will be up to you.

I am open to any and all ideas. I don't have all of the answers and want community feedback. I like to try one thing and if that doesn't work let's try something else until it does.

I will remove that restriction on the next minor release, which should be soon.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

thanks.

and yes, I can see why you would want as much info as possible.
But still, things like this should be the choice of the user if they want to supply it.

:rock :rock :rock

I will lift it in the next minor release, which will hopefully be this week.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Hey Sexy, I just checked the site after several months and it's all changed! :panic::panic:
It looks really nice!

I have one request though, could you add a filter for scale? I was trying to see all the Sideshow Marvel statues produced in 1:5 but I can only feature type, not scale.
Is that doable easily?

Haha ya we have come a long way so far!

Yes that is! I can get that in the next release which is probably moving to early next week.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Release tomorrow!

Going to contain a lot of UI updates and then the two latest requests.

If you don't have time, post what you need and either I or someone might be able to help you out!

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

We have officially released v2.5.3. This release contains UI updates, a scales filter when searching for collectibles, and when you remove a collectible and indicate that it has been sold, the sale price is not required anymore.

Check it out!
