Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give you an update on our planned releases. I just pushed out 2.5.6 which updated the dashboard when you are logged in to break things out into sub pages since it was getting a bit crowded. Then we are going to work on the following in order (things might change but this is the plan).

- Update to notifications, allow users to set email preferences and see notifications in the dashboard (these are for approval emails, subscription emails, new comments, etc).
- Bulk notifications, ability to set a preference to get bulk notifications instead of us flooding your email inbox.
- Pricing reports on your stash
- Exporting your stash

As usual let me know if you need anything ASAP but that is our current plan.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Hey Sexy,

I'm having trouble entering dates for items I want to add.

1. When typing the date, for ex: "01/23/2011", it will jump to year 1911.

2. When selecting the date from the calendar ("01/23/2011") and I try to add the item, I receive an error message with "Must be a valid date" and the date changes to "1/0/2011".

This has happened twice now. Is there any workaround? THANKS, the sites great!

What browser are you using? I have noticed that thing is very touchy sometimes. Don't try entering in the date manually but using the date picker. I will look it seeing if I can clean it up more but if you try going to the page fresh and click the input to bring down the date picker then select the date. THEN click out of the input field, then click submit. See if that works.

I just took at look at the issue and I think I see what the problem is. I had it set to max length on the field of 8 but we have / in there so it should be 10. You SHOULD be able to manually enter it now and I think it will address that problem. Let me know and thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I was using firefox. Just tried typing the date and it worked! Thanks for the fix and thanks for building the site. I have all of my purchases in an excel file and this is a nice alternative.

Is there a way to remove a vendor from the list when you start typing a vendor name? I noticed some misspelled vendors in the list like "Sideashow Collectibles". Just wondering...

:rock :rock

No problem, glad it is working!

As for the vendor stuff, right now there is not. I have been manually fixing them. For now just let me know which ones are incorrect and I will take care of it!

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

Looking for suggestions for new collectible types you guys might want added to Collection Stash.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

We need to get the word out that we can fill the void of no product archive on Sideshow's website.

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

One thing I noticed last night is that it doesn't seem to be updating eBay auctions that were still going when added but that have now ended. The one specific one I can remember is the muppets wedding of the century set.

Ok, let me check it out. I think I noticed an issue where if it ended but they relisted it it wasn't saying it was completed but there could be some other scenarios that I am missing. That eBay API is huge.

Hmm, well that one is interesting because it did sell. I will debug that one tonight and see if I can see the problem. Thanks!

Re: Collection Stash: A Collection Cataloging Platform

ALRIGHT got the problem figured out. Some old eBay item numbers where causing problems. Everything should start processing again over the next couple days and catchup.
