The bowl ban was self-imposed in the hopes of not getting hit harder by the ncaa infractions committee.

And yes, they will be in a major bowl next year.

Carson Palmer may be the best QB USC has given the NFL and that's not saying much. Being fair to Palmer he looked decent enough until Kimo von Oelhoffen met his knee in that playoff game.
