None of it will matter unless the Irish beat Bama on Monday. That will be the tipping point, one way or the other.

That said, I still don't get this conference loyalty stuff. It should be about the individual schools/institutions/teams.

It's not an issue of loyalty from my POV, just the way it has been over the last several years. If that is changing, then fine. But I agree that the national title game is where folks are going to be looking in terms of making that kind of judgment.

Of course not, Notre Dame isn't in a conference. :)

It's all a bi-product of ESPN and their coverage, etc. It has only been this way the last 10-15 years or so, especially with the increase in bowl games since that time. Kinda like you want to kill your brother but don't want anyone else to.

Well, that was a disappointing end to what was a fun and surprising season. I had this year's Gators pegged as a 8-9 win team at best. I'll take 11-2 even with the bad ending.

Can't wait for Muschamp Year 3. 8/31/13 the Toledo Rockets are Gator bait:impatient:

Will Bama be the next mighty SEC Titan to fall?

Nope.

That's easy to say when your favorite team won't join a conference for football, lol. If they ever would join a conference then you might be able to understand.

For the most part, it is a by-product of the media.
