How do you spot the idiot in a crowd?

A&M has a lot of talent returning next year, 8 home games, they don't have to play Georgia,Florida, or South Carolina. They get Alabama at home early in the season and have a few fluff non conference games. I'm calling a title run for them next year.
Holy crap!!!
A member of the ND Club of Atlanta called me last night. Said he wanted to make a donation to my dog's surgery fund and wanted me to meet him at the pub. I said he could just do it online to save him the time and trouble, but he insisted that he give it to me in person and that it had to be last night. I know the guy through the club and even though I was tired I made the drive to meet him. Besides, it was the least I could do for someone making a generous donation.
So we met. And here's the amazing part: he buys me a Guinness and hands me an envelope. I could already tell there was more than cash in it... Because inside was a $100 bill and TWO TICKETS TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!!!!
I was dumbfounded. Literally confused and didn't know what to think. I said "What...?" and he cut me off to explain that he knows my son's 10th birthday is Monday (the day of the game) and that I really wanted to take him to the game, but I got shut out of the ND ticket lottery and there's no way I can justify springing $1,000 a ticket when I need $ for Rocky. He said "My son and I were at the '88 championship game. We both agreed to give you our tickets to this one, because it will be an experience you'll both share forever, whether or not the Irish win the game. You gotta go with Donovan and that's that."
I'm not afraid to admit that I teared up. I mean, I barely know this amazing person and here he is giving me 100 bucks cash and 2 tickets to a game of a lifetime.
I was so pumped last night I immediately packed, went and picked up Donovan and drove 6 hours to Mom's in Orlando. We're there right now, and about to drive to Miami for the pep rally.
Man, I love people right now!
He had a caveat about this great gift, "You both better cheer your lungs off."
Will do, Michael. Will do.
My ND connections came through. Looks like I'm going to Miami for the BCS Championship Game.
My son's 10th birthday is January 7, so I'll be taking him. No matter what happens on the field I think it will be a memory that will last a lifetime.
Here is at his first game at ND back in 2005 when he was just a little dude:
I thought you were already going?
