Trying my best. I've actually already done some research on Hotels within the area, I think around July, but they weren't booking next July yet, suppose I should look again soon.

I learned from last year, the actual effort and work involved in securing everything to go seems worse than the money it costs :lol

Can you order Con Exclusives from Sideshow as a Non-Attendee even if you're going, because I wouldn't want to worry about carrying and holding onto that stuff, i see myself more as a viewer and mingler and not much of a shopper.

Yeah, I'm sure you can order them. I mean Sideshow doesn't check to see who is going :lol

Registered as soon as I got home.

me too :rock:rock

I'm determined to get there, finding a hotel is the really tricky part, gotta watch like a hawk for that.

you could always crash with fellow freaks that live in SD, that could save you some money...heck your welcome to crash at my place (that goes to any other freaks that need a place during SDCC)

Yeah but, I think this event is growing exponentially. I thought I heard from some staff working the show that these past two years were the only sell out years, for all 4-day passes AND each individual pass for all 4 days. I've only been there for said last two years, but it seems like it is growing and they need to put something in place to try and curb the crowds; be it increased ticket prices, limited attendance during preview night, whatever. I'm still a newb at the con, so however it goes down is cool with me.

Normally I'd say the 4-day passes might sell out ~2-3 months before the show, but now with this preview night restriction, it may be much sooner.

100 bones ! whoa ! i remember 5 years ago I used to buy the 4 day pass + preview night for $45 :lol

How are hotels priced in SD? are they very expensive or reasonable? Just that I would REALLY like to go to this but its just the price for hotel and return flights from Scotland that i'm worried about... :tap

$200-$300+ a night if you stay close to the convention. Stay a litttle bit further away and use the trolley/train to save some $.

Don't know if I'm in but if I get tickets now and don't go, can they be transferred to someone else?

:horror OMG, might just have to sleep on a park bench or something... lol

:lol

Seriously though, hotels get cheaper the farther away you get from the Convention Center. We usually go with four dudes (my wife won't go near Comicon, thank god) and split the cost. Get a hotel about 5 miles away and drive in. Parking will be between $10-$15 per day and having your car nearby is a great way to store your swag and purchases (they get really heavy!)

A little early but better to be safe than sorry. Ticket ordered.:joy

I was gonna take iron.jedi83's offer to crash at his place but since The Ill Jedi claimed all the spots, I may have to take Kuzeh's offer and spoon with a complete stranger.:monkey3 (As if I've never done that before!:lol) Just kidding! Spooning is optional.:D

Whoa, hold your horses there buddy, those spots are already taken! :D
