Every time one of these things start, I just think how many of these we could sell.

10,500 POSTS SAKRIFICED FOR THE KURGAN AND A GIFT UNTO MY BROTHERS AND SHE-BROTHERS!!!!!

I'm buying figures from them, paying money, I am choosing them by giving them my dollar, and I think for that they owe me/us a bit more information , and don’t give me the cop out super fan return of ‘don’t buy them and leave the forums now’ statement. I have little choice really, I am a Star Wars fan (before sideshow owned the license) and I want quality 1/6 scale figures for my Star Wars collection. Sideshow is delivering quite a few great figures but I just want to have more of an update. They have great customer service, and they do email a lot about their new products they have for sale, but I want some more information on when a Vader is coming and that does not make me a whiner. I don’t want a 10 page essay detailing their R&D on Vader but as a paying customer I want a bit more than it’s coming in 2008. So please stop insulting me by calling me a whiner, you don’t see me calling you, a mindless sideshow fanatic who takes every criticism against Sideshow as if it's a direct insult against himself, you don’t work for the company, so why don’t you relax and stop attacking others who have a differing opinion than yourself.

You make a good point Amir. Certainly didnt deserve being flamed for. If we did get a ball park date for a Vader then it would save the constant "Oooooh its Vader next" and the inevitable dissapointment when its something else. I dont think there would have been as much negativity over Praji if we hadnt been expecting it to be Vader instead.

Why do they have to say Vader is coming July 2008 or Q4 2008? They don't have to thats the point. He's coming and that should be enough for you or any of us then when he does it will kick some major ass. Enjoy the ride of the figures that do come. Get the ones you want. Skip the ones you don't.

I don't know how some of you enjoy collecting with the attitude you approach collecting with.

Damn! You Kurgans are posting milestones all over the place. I better watch my butt. :lol

Contrary to a lot of other disgruntled fans' comments, I'm actually GLAD Vader wasn't the figure that went up during Spooktacular. If SS was foolish enough to play this whole secretive release game garbage with an actually important character, I would absolutely be done with this line. Collecting these highly detailed 1/6 figures is a fun hobby for me. When games start to be played with the release/preorders (every PPO thus far came with at least a week or so advance warning that didn't involve spending an entire week sitting in front of a computer during some HORROR promotion), the fun becomes frustration and is not worth my time or money.

Oh, wait, I just said something negative about SS... AND I'm a Star Wars fan! What ever will I do when the internet flames come my way! GASP!

This wasn't a PPO though. So they didn't need to announce anything. If it was there would have been a notification plus they did hint something was coming so people should have been expecting something. I guess SS needs to start making billboards for those that can't pick up on hints. :lol The only foolish thing SW fans like you expecting everything to be handed 2 them on a silver platter. Just some food for thought.

Someone's a smart ass. Here's a thought try making your point without being a one it might make more of an impact. :D

And if it was Vader it would have been inclusive probably through the weekend to allow everyone to get one.

I was thinking about this earlier, and even though Spooktacular isn't a convention, the Commander Praji really is more like a Con figure; limited edition, but a character choice that wouldn't bother fans if they missed out on it, but would reward the fans that are so loyal they follow all things Sideshow, and I think it worked out well. If you look at the majority of Spooktacular offerings, it was very much like a convention; some new licenses announcements with no products and some non PPO sale items that were either geared toward a niche following or priced at a high point where plenty of pieces would still be available after the event for anyone who hadn't been following.

I hadn't thought about it like that but you're right it could be looked at it in this way.

That was my take on it as well Sean, just a nice bonus for those who wanted it and follow SSC religiously. They wouldn't toss out Vader like that without lots of notice, people would lose their minds. :lol

Which makes the number of people that expected it to be Vader hillarious; they make the argument that Sideshow knows we want it and should deliver it already, yet they also thought SSC would just slip him into the mix at an event like this. Sideshow does know how big Vader is to people, and as much as the figure, I look forward to the marketing around his final release, I'm betting it's going to be a grand party over just the one figure.

Oh no doubt! I'm sure it will be a BONANZA of epic proportions. They will tease us with photos first and then we will see a tease on the newsie and pics from the next convention when it goes up for order. I'm thinking it will be a Toyfare or SSC thing. But it will be insane when it happens, for sure. :lol

They'd lose their minds and then some. :lol

I'm thinking, and this idea will piss off a lot of fans I'm sure, but get their armored figure lineup really going, and have a convention centerpiece display of Vader flanked by armored Imperial troops, that would look so beautiful and really attract convention goers over to the booth.
