Variety reports Rose McGowan has joined the cast of the film; not as Red Sonja, but as what Variety describes as "an evil half-human/half-witch." The actress has been attached to a "Red Sonja" project for a number of years.

She certainly knows how to play a witch.

The dude's like 6'5. If he bulks up, which won't be hard to do with Hollywood trainers, he could fill the fur-lined boots quite well. He definitely has the Buscema eyebrows and cheekbones going on. Throw some blue contacts in, and it may work.

And yes, the King Conan figure is tits. I use it as a bookend.

Actually I'll eat some crow here and say this. This guy played Frankie on a TV show called North Shore. I didn't notice that before. That pic looks different then I remembered him. I really liked him in that role and from what I recall he seemed bigger in that show. So I take back my earlier diss and say I hope it works out.

IMHO, I think Pearlman's mug actually reminds me of the old Conan comic books--Neanderthal. He's face'll add some character to do the screen.
