I had that internal click when I first saw it. 'That's a miss.'
Scrolling through the pics, it didn't get better.

Well, yeah. Look at that insipid, Artisan Imposter Joker they put together. So they're doing cosplayers now? Can't wait for the fat Jedi kid or that hot Twi'lek I saw last convention.
Actually looks worse here than the announcement photos, which is shocking considering it tends to be the opposite with JC's sculpt photos.JC's damage control photos. Almost looks like a different figure.

Whoah, deep cutSo they're doing cosplayers now? Can't wait for the fat Jedi kid or that hot Twi'lek I saw last convention.
Evans’ retirement fundHow/Why in the world is this figure $305?
Could make for a great Frank Grillo sculpt (who should've been Punisher btw, not Bernthal).Actually looks worse here than the announcement photos, which is shocking considering it tends to be the opposite with JC's sculpt photos.
Big miss on this one. Facial structure is all kinds of wrong. I see David Beckham more than anyone else.
Are you going to learn Cantonese first? What I wouldn't give to be in the meeting at HT discussing the fallout from Torchgate.
I speak Can'tonese...because I can't get myself to buy this or 75% of what HT puts out there. Are you going to learn Cantonese first?
I am usually with you on these @Gipetto0812 but when I first saw this on Instagram this morning I would never have recognized Evans in the sculpt if I hadn't seen the movie and recognized the cameo. I will say, as I almost always do, that this will probably look great at 1/6 scale admiring your shelf from a few feet away versus a super high resolution blown up photo that might have some lens distortion. Not a figure I want or need but I hope this turns out great for those who are all in on this.
I definitely hear what you guys are saying and understand I'm in the very small minority (and so far, only one on the board it seems) to be fine with the sculpt. It’s a goodun.
But I’m with the majority here.
My first exposure to this was scrolling insta and seeing jc Hong post the sculpt; I had absolutely no idea who I was looking at.
When it’s on the body, it has that context to inform who it’s meant to be. I wonder how many figures I’d deem terrible if I was shown the sculpt in isolation first with no additional information.
To me, this looks like the love child of John Krasinski and Clint Eastwood.
It's been a long fascination of mine how people see things so differently, myself included. I'm not getting it either and wouldn't be even it the likeness were spot-on.I definitely hear what you guys are saying and understand I'm in the very small majority (and so far, only one on the board it seems) to be fine with the sculpt.
That said, I'm not getting this anyway so it doesn't bother me one way or the other just think it's funny is all.
