Where's Chavez when there's a Medicom argument to be had?

Come to think of it, where's Chavez in general?

Shhhhh...if you say his name three times, you'll summon him at the cost of your own life (according to legend).

I haven't had any issues with broken bodies on my Medicom's yet, but missing parts and broken costumes I've had a few. But then again, all my figures are still in the box, only taken out to check if they are ok... Perhaps if I would pose them a lot, they would also break.
A lot of these issues were somehow easier to comprehend, if these figures were sold for what they are worth. My major complaint about Medicom is that they are to expensive in the first place, and that there's a company like SSC who thinks they must sell these figure for an even higher price. That's wrong. One should think that by now, both Medicom and Sideshow must know that these figures are not worth the price. If they were, they wouldn't break as often as they do to begin with. But yes, as long as we keep on buying these, they will keep on selling. That's why I stoped buying these from SSC, because they want to much money for them.

There's that, and Medicom doesn't seem to hold their value very well, at least among Star Wars figures. Ah, well...I have learned never to buy them new if I can get them for 30% cheaper 6-12 months later :p

As for your clones, Monk...don't worry about them too much. I haven't had any problems with mine (yet).

So yesterday I pick up my medi Fett and realize his leg is very loose, which I'm sort of annoyed about but then on further inspection I see that it's not loose, it's completely off. The out fits so snug it's holding the leg there, which is good and bad, Good because I can display him and no one would know the difference bad because the outfit is hard if not impossible to get off so I can the damage and possibly fix him. This just annoys me, nothing that has happened to that figure should of made his leg come off, I think after my Hannibal gets here I'm done with medicom.

The same happened to mine. Its definitely annoying. For my piece its the right leg that broke, I tried repairing it but the broken joint is too small for any amount of glue to be strong enough to hold it back together.

Did anybody ever tried getting replacement parts for their broken figures from Medicom? I know Hot Toys helps their collectors out in some cases.

Don't expect Medicom to respond the way Sideshow does. They don't at all, at least in my case. :monkey2

My Jango Fett came with one missing blaster and my Boba Fett has a few small items missing. I wrote to them countless times but its like my emails getting sucked into a blackhole. Nobody at Medicom ever responds. That is why I cut off on buying Medicom items after the Jango and Boba Fett Figures. Enough for me. :banghead :banghead :banghead

Did you buy straight from Medicom?

Anyways, I believe Medicom do provide those services if you live in Japan. Or else get an exchange or refund from the supplier or distributor that you got your figures from.

That's how Japanese companies work.
They have an internal network of suppliers and distributors that would only correspond with each other.
Outsiders will remain outsiders.
This is not exclusive to Medicom but Majority of Japanese companies.

For example, I bought a Medi Boba and it lacked the holster. I just told my friend a bout the problem(who got for me straight from a distributor from Japan)and he was able to get me a replacement codpiece with holster within 2 weeks.

I doubt Sideshow would entertain me (from SIngapore) if I bought my Sideshow figures from ebay when I think about it, would they?

Everyone loves buying from ebay cos you save as much as $50 per figure but it does not provide you with a safety net on faulty figures.

Word of advice,

Get it straight from the distributor.

Also I forgot to mention. Like I said before, the prices I've paid for my figures are about the $125 range and they are from local distributors.
I can totally empathize with those who prefer to buy from ebay or second hand figures cos you could save a bundle.

SSC is the biggest distributor of Medicom figures in the US so the problem is, with the price they are charging, you dont have much of an alternative if you want the safety net from faulty products.

Buy off ebay or forums, you can save up to $60= no security with defects.

Buy off SSC, pay an exhorbant price up to $180 but it comes with some assurance.

Decisions decisions...

I've learned to just avoid the Medicom part of the equation all together...

I'm thinking about undressing my boba, seeing if the break is fixable or just buying a new body, first problem is I can't get the dang helmut off!

when i had problems with jango. i just swapped his head and put it on the boba fett body..
also i slowly cracked and popped the half head out of the boba fett mask and now i can have the clone where the boba fett mask with no problem
