Yeah, I wish that were so. For some reason SSC is offering double points on him today along w/ the free shipping, yet the other Wolverine figure from X3 isn't getting that same treatment. Curiouser and curiouser...

Kind of a bummer that you can't get free shipping and use reward points. Someone in the Wolverine thread today was able to get both double reward points (earned) and free shipping. So why not free shipping and (using) reward points?

You can earn double rewards and receive Free US shipping on an item but we typically will not allow double dipping of discounts. In the case of this Free US shipping offer the T&C in the email and on site does state that one cannot combine discount for this promotion. In instances of where we will allow multiple discounts we will let that be known.

yes......BUT......if you didn't already know this:

Go to Facebook
Click on the icon at the top that opens up your PMs (looks like two speech bubbles)
At the bottom of that window click on "See all"
At the top left of the new screen find the "Inbox" and "Other" at the top left of your screen.

Most PMs that you get from friends go to the Inbox, and you get alerted whenever a new message goes there. What a lot of people don't know is that some messages, usually from people you aren't friends with, go to the "Other" box and you DON'T get alerted.

If you have anything in that Other box, you may be surprised what you find in there, and how long it's been there.

Check it out.

Wow, had no idea about that. Found some interesting messages in there, including shady reporters trying to get me to dish on people I work with, lol.

What's bad is that if you use the mobile app like I do, you can't see the "Other" box at all!

I used my rewards points on '66 Batman and got free shipping. Unless they charge my card more than my order and invoice said, which would be ********. I don't care what your policy is, if I order something and I get told it is costing X and I get charged X plus Y, I'm throwing a stink.

I didn't see the free shipping email until this morning. I checked out The Wolverine, even though it says it was for yesterday, and it still shows free shipping.

It gets worse. From Sideshow's site:

Please note the restrictions: Free U.S. Shipping promotions cannot be used on flex pay items (since the final payment will be after of the promotion’s end date), unless otherwise stated on a products page, or wait list fulfillment orders. This promotion cannot be combined with promotional gift cards, Rewards, site discounts, gift certificates, coupons, etc. Any discounts applied to free shipping items will be removed prior to processing, regardless of whether the site allowed you to apply multiple discounts. As per the rules of the Rewards and Gift Card programs, any of these discounts that are removed are voided and cannot be reinstated. Please make sure you are choosing your items carefully and applying your discounts properly!

But I completely agree, that if this policy exists, it's imperative that Sideshow maintain the shopping cart system such that it can deal with these restrictions (by not allowing one to waste/lose points) - it's certainly a very simple programming solution.

I guess I should've read the fine print. It say the free shipping promotion ends at 3pm pacific time today.
