So I've been dipping in and out of this thread. Can someone fill me in? Somebody posted a fake code as a joke and some people tried and saw that it didn't work and instead of just reading a little more into it they called ssc and complained?

Spook wasn't enough for you?

I missed all those and didn't know how to use them at spook. I tried to use all those codes to order vampi or GH and they all didn't work. So I gave up on spook codes.

Just wanted to drop a quick thanks to everyone who was keeping up on codes this year, it was very much appreciated!
I didn't buy anything, but the $45 in RP I got was more than enough for me this time round. Looking forward to future SSC events!

I was able to get $30 in RP which I planned on using toward the Batman Armory but now I don't know. I may be the only person who actually wants a Jake Sully but even at $80 off MSRP it seems overpriced. The Stark figure would fit better in my collection but I didn't like IM3 at all.

A number of people posted joke codes while we waited for the real codes to appear. Some of those were like G1MM3C0D3S, M0R3C0D3S, etc. Some visiting the site tried to use these and when they didn't work complained. After giving it some thought I really don't think that the hundreds of calls SS received were strictly due to the forum. I think an overall confusion as to the lettering of the real codes and the fact that they were only useable for five or ten minutes intervals played a much bigger factor. Whatever the reasoning future promotions like these may be in jeopardy because of it.

We should have an exclusive thread for this next year. Sure, someone can make another one. But I'd like to see one private thread where those of us who enjoy each other's company can get together and enjoy spook, joke, share codes, etc. I may be in the minority on this but I feel as though I'd rather not deal with code chasers exclusively.

True true! Everything I've got my eyes on is still pre-order, sadly. Though I'm half tempted to make a move on the Tweeterhead Herman Munster maquette. Probably won't though... dunno. Would have been nice if Lily had been shipping too and they'd done a bundle.

I'm surprised to see people still talking about the fake codes. I lurked this thread for the entire event and, as somebody who was just lurking, I had no problem or issues with the fake codes whatsoever. 99% of them were very clearly fakes (e.g., CR41GSM0M5BU5H) and the 1 or 2 that fooled me took maybe 20 seconds of my time. I just don't understand why a couple of wet blankets have to ruin everybody else's fun. I sure hope this doesn't affect Sideshow's decision to offer codes in the future. Thank you to those of you who were keeping this thread updated and posting the codes and sorry a bunch of whiners tried to ruin the fun.
