Literally nothing to show for it yet.

For what purpose, though? Wouldn't showing the actual product do more good than... this?

You guys really expected '12 Days' to be exciting without Reward Points?
To be honest I haven't even visited their site and only know about a new RS reveal, sorry vague tease, from the original thread on here.

Sideshow dropped the ball on potential added interest in their, recently substandard, products.

As a sideshow event, this 12 days has been really boring. Spook was just too much fun with the RP. I would be ecstatic for $1 RP codes lol. I appreciate that they hold events like this but this 12 days 2014 is VERY boring. I haven't checked the SSC site either. Get the emails and that's about all I follow them right now.

Edit: The 12 days page on the SS website reminds me of an advent calendar. Except instead of being filled with sweets... it's filled with pictures that hint at sweets you could possibly buy in the future for a large sum of money. Yum.

I'm really not sure what everyone expects from 12 Days. It's never been a Spooktacular event or a Comic Coon event and so on. It has always just been a tease and announcement event. Those looking for more seem to not have seen other 12 Days. Also important note...an event like Spooktacular requires so many hands available during the event...given it's the holiday season and many staff members are spending quality time with loved ones during this time a year, putting on an event like spooktacular is not viable....plus, it dilutes spooktacular and Black Friday. 12 Days is simply a treat for collectors and fans during the holidays. It will never please everyone but hopefully an announcement or tease will be on interest to some percentage that checks in on it at some point.

Alex, when we hear there will be a "reveal" we expect to actually see a picture of the product at least in prototype form. Not a generic page with only a logo saying that at some undisclosed future date there will be a product available. That's just wasting everyone's time - it's not a reveal, it's a tease, and that kind of thing is best left to a blog or behind the scenes, not a promotional event.

Recent examples… These are not a reveals. They're also certainly not a "Previews" as you guys advertise them.

At least for the Vader you show the mid-section of a figure, but even that's seriously pushing it as a "preview." if you guys aren't ready to show a full prototype, if you can't talk about pre-prder and ship dates, don't make an announcement. There's nothing to announce.

You guys can package your promotions however you want, but you can't blame customers for expectations by comparing to spook. Customers are let down simply because this event doesn't live up to its own billing.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I still love Sideshow and your products. I just think 12 Days is a total snore-fest and you guys should just have taken some down time and skipped some of it. There's nothing special about it that you guys don't already do on any other random week.

I'll be far more excited to visit the site when all the products originally scheduled for the end of 2014 actually start to ship - all of the SW 1/6 figures for instance.

I think that part of the problem is that some of us are so addicted to this hobby that we have nothing better to do but check this forum an unhealthy amount of times in a day to see if there's any news. SS is giving a few droplets of water to dying people in the desert. Of course we're going to want more.

Even if there is a tinge of negativity to it, the good news is that everyone is clearly still interested to see what SS has to offer.

Again though...12 Days has historically (at least the last three years has been this way) been teases and announcements, so for folks to suddenly think the event is this and that is simply head scratching. In the end, every year some proclaim it a snooze fest while others really enjoy it. As I said...impossible to please everyone. Those that want full product previews should look to Thursdays where we have a new product in full preview almost every week of the entire year (give or take of course), so over roughly 45ish new previews all year round.

I understand what you mean, and I had tempered my expectations of 12 days weeks ago, so that part doesn't bother me that much.

I just wish these previews would at least give us some semblance of something to get excited for. The tip of a trident and a head of a snake don't exactly reveal any relevant information about the product, other than a good photoshop team.

Like Pixelpiper said, Vader at least had the decency of showing off his chest... Sonja couldn't even be bothered to show up for her photoshoot, and Aquaman sent a prop in his stead.

Some of you guys need to chill out. 12 days has always been a very casual event with a few licensing or upcoming announcements. Just gave us a heads up of what's in the works. Seriously...I get so frustrated everytime I check what's going on in this thread. Almost wish the mods would get rid of it. I don't think the community can handle it. Might be doing more harm than good.

With sixth scale I'm interested in seeing the artists impressions of what Sideshow promises to offer, knowing full well that by the time it comes to production the professionally sculpted and painted heads will be turned over to an under-fives art class who get to hack it to pieces, insert eyes from the drawer labelled 'Marty Feldman', and slap some paint on it with a house painting brush.

I checked a few pre-order pages today, and the images don't even state that they're prototypes which are very likely to change.

I wouldn't pre-order a Sideshow figure anywhere now unless there was the opportunity to cancel without charges once in-hand photos appear.

The problem with that is that the only place you can do that is with Sideshow, which means paying international costs, because locally the figures are likely to sell out before we see images of the real figure.

Likewise, I wouldn't waste Reward Points on a Sideshow figure. I still feel you have more chance of getting what you ordered with Hot Toys.

There are exceptions to every rule!

When it comes to Sideshow the rule appears to be 'show something comparable to Hot Toy's usual quality, then give them something that doesn't cost as much to produce'.

I was mainly speaking of Sideshow, but at least with HT Han if you like what you see you can expect to get that. I am hopeful seeing Sideshow's Hoth Han, but still a bit worried. If only HT had produced a sculpt that good.

Like others have said a 'Tease' shows us nothing but what may be revealed in the next year. An actual product shot would be much more exciting.
