Has anyone done a Merry or Pippin 1/6 custom fig? Unfortunately, it is safe to say that SS is not going to complete the nine in the 1/6th line. I cannot leave this undone so I am embarking on the two remaining figs (I have the ToyBiz Gimli and can live with it) so I am hoping to see what people may have done already.

There was talk about it around this time last year but nothing has come of it so far.

I don't know why nobody went forward with this..
all we need is the damn heads.

killing me!

That is really too bad, they would look great mixed in with the rest - it seems like such a crappy move by SS to not finish this line in 1/6th, rest well little hobbits... :frodo

What a shame... Just got Sam today and Frodo is on his way. Picked them both up through Amazon from Hastings for 75 shipped. Sam is fantastic. Aside from the cracked shins he's as nice as any figure I own... I'd be pretty pissed if I was on this from the start only to be left with 6 of 9 fellowship members....

Yeah I actually picked them up at Hastings as well and hope that someday someone out there will sculpt Meriadoc and Pippin and I can then bash Samwise and Frodo into them. A man can dream...:sleep:aragorn:gandalf:gimli:legolas:frodo

Quit being a whiny little b**ch and make Gimli. :p It's the funnest kitbash you'll have done in years! The mods here blow though because they'd rather sticky "bragging rights" threads than threads that are actually helpful to LOTR collectors.

Yeah, the gimli mod was fun and impressive to see finished. I LOVE MINE!

I just really wish someone would jump start this again and make some dang heads for us. We are so close i can taste it.

I refuse to give up on this. I won't let those little hobbits suffer a nasty fate at the hands of Saruman..

speaking of 1/6th customs.. i wonder how he is coming? lol

I just got "Charlie Pace" head from Chan Ada - it's based on the actor's role in "Lost", but it's a excellent likeness- I plan on lightly sanding off the stubble and using green stuff to add hair- It should come out to a more than passable Meridoc Brandybuck. I'll probably pick up a Sam to put the head on, possibly dye his clothes. Not really sure what to do about his clothing to be honest.

I don't have a pic, but here's the link: https://www.wantedactionfigure.com/productShow.asp?id=91

I thought about getting this Charlie head to try this very thing. But then someone who had it said it was too big. If you can post a pic with the hobbit body that would be cool!

I'm happy to do so, still trying to score the hobbit body. I don't think it's too big at all. It's proper scale. But, I will try and take a pic of it at least next to Sam or Frodo to give you an idea of scale!
