Custom 1/6 Merry / Pippin ?

Just an idea, but perhaps you guys could have Spenser do the sculpts, just on a smaller run. That being said, I don't know if he'd want to do them or even if he could. Just a thought.

So I've had this cheap Peter Parker headsculpt for quite awhile (Toybiz I think), and I kept thinking that the facial structure was very similar to Pippin's. So I painted on some fleshtone to cover the factory paint job. Then I got an extra DiD Frodo head and cut the hair off. Put the two together and I think its a passable likeness of Pippin. Here's a comparison photo too. Thoughts?

I think some more of Billy Boyd's features can come through in the paint job.

It's a passable likeness, but the nose is definitely off. The head works well with the hair, though.

As a stand-in, it will work very well.

I think the nose is fine but the face a bit too thin, particularly in the jaw line. The paint apps on the eyes will be crucial.

To be perfectly honest, standing next to the other figures, it's not even passable. Maybe for "Brand-X" Hobbit, but not Pippin.

Or just buy the TB Bilbo for cheap, paint the head and swap the clothes over to a Sideshow body. The sculpt being a RealScan, he actually fits in great with the Sideshow figures with minimal work.
