Thanks, guys! Sid's eyes are brighter than most Sith eyes because for most of his scenes, they're computer generated. Ian had some trouble with the contact lenses.

I'm fitting together the pieces for my Sith Lightening. I'm stoked to see it all finished. I know a lot of us think the lightening makes it look too toyish, but I really feel it's an integral part of his character and really looks no more toyish than the ignited lightsabers. So, here's some test shots. What do you think?

Since I'm here, here's the finished lightning for Palpatine. I'm satisfied with how it looks. I sprayed the lightning with clear matte. Helps it capture light more readily. I also took a silver pen and added some detail to it to make it pop more. I really wanted to show you some plain shots, how he looks without any dynamic lighting.

Now, I have toget back to work! The backlog is starting to fill up!!

I manipulated and sanded the lightning so that his fingers could just hold it. Works pretty well!

Hey everyone! Well, I let my thread fall to the back again. It happens every time I book a solid acting gig. Painting falls to the backburner, and I have to work extra hard to get my commissions out. This one I've been excited about showing everybody. It's one of those "out of the box" commissions that I just love.

This is Pixletwin's Chancellor Palpatine head repainted to look like an Episode I Darth Sidious. There was some debate as to whether or not he should have the Sith eyes, but I was really glad Pix went with them, because it makes for a more interesting, and very striking custom.
