I think the HR theory is sound. They wouldn't have had Barry use the device for ARGUS and remind the audience that it exists if not to use it again.

Hmmm... I wonder if a speedster can create Time Remnants of another person. Travel forward 2 seconds and grab that person and bring them back.

Spoilers below so if you havent watched it please don't continue reading......

I feel certain that it was the wells that gave up her location. No way he just sat there after his mistake and his character is due for a very heroic moment. He really hasn't done anything. That technology is also key as it just got introduced and he clearly had a plan, as did the rest of the group that the show purposefully left us in the dark with.

Plus, it would be stupid if she dies that way. I mean they could have easily just put iris in the building where the power dampener was until they figured out a way to deal with Savitar. If not that, they also could have erased Barry's mind again....he was learning to be flash again and his relationship with the group (especially Iris) would have been fine lol.

There were too many ways they could have avoided her death in that way, which is a shame because it was a great episode. It would be a more powerful moment if it was truly utter failure.

I also think there's something important to what capt. Cold said. He said something about Barry being good is his strength and not to fight Savitar at his own game. I think that's foreshadowing something.

Why is it that with every single Metahuman, they are considered dangerous criminals who have used their powers to commit crimes and locked away indefinitely without trial, but when Katlin became Killer Frost, they see her metapowers to be some weird alternate personality and don't hold her responsible for any of the crimes she has committed?

I think Savitar created a time remnant of Iris. I've been spot on (as Evil Face can attest) thus far, so I think I'll make a wild stab in the dark and say that Time Remnant Barry/SaviFlash couldn't bring himself to kill Iris.

But my primary theory has been and still is HR, but they have some 'splaining to do on how that worked.

Savitar won't come to be Savitar if he doesn't destroy Barrys psychological state. If he doesn't kill the real Iris then Barry would get over the bad experience over time and get back to being a hero.

Barry Proper never goes bad, he becomes complacent. They've already changed the circumstances that created Savitar.

Barry was suppose to create Time Remnants of himself to try to save Iris, that didn't happen. So things are already changing.

But I still don't get why the writers went out of their way to 'make' Savitar a time remnant, when they could have just used the comic origins.

Not that I don't enjoy the story thus far, but there's no reason to call it Savitar. Just name the villain something else altogether.

HR theory makes no sense cause the death of Iris creates Savitar. If it's faked then there is no Savitar cause Barry wont be heart broken.

They took a sharp left turn on Zoom in season two that left a lot of holes. I dont think logic is their primary concern.

I've got a feeling that the writers will take a page out of Rebirth for this fourth season to get Barry back. They've got their way out set up too well, IMO. And if they do go that route....we might get Thawne back...or at least one of the Zooms.

I'm not saying Zoom will be the Big Bad - as I know they mentioned we won't have a Speedster for that this time around, but I'm hoping we get him back in particular for a least a few episodes or more).

Who knows though?!

And now for the loooooong wait.

It was a certainty that Barry was going to be in the Speed Force by the end of the season.

This show has gone down hill.... :( So predictable and boring, but it is emotional and I like all the casting choices. Very little keeping me engaged and optimistic for next season. I gave up on Supergirl long ago, Legends of tomorrow is so hokey I can't watch anymore, and now I'm slowly losing interest in this too.. The trailer for Black Lightning looked decent, but I have no interest in the character and yet another stand alone DC comic book show... Fatigue has definitely set in for me.

You can logically pick this show apart, but i take like wrestling- sometimes you just have to go with it. Plus, i love the characters and casting. I enjoy watching them even if the show doesn't always make perfect sense.
