CW series The Flash

It was a little corny last night but that's OK...I still enjoyed it

With Thawne being such a big villain it is almost a shame to get him out of the way (hopefully not permanently) in the first season. When it was first announced I wasn't sure what to expect of this show but I was so pleasantly surprised at how great it turned out....they've done everything right. Now he just needs that new suit.

That's actually a REALLY good point. Doesn't make sense, does it?

Oh wait, he was in a confined building. And Cisco was supposed to tell him how to get out but he gave him wrong / bad directions.

He could have killed 'em all, one at a time, using his super speed but I dunno why he didn't. Cause they're not that fast. They're everywhere but not that fast.

Being very pissed off after the first half of DD S1... decided to give this one another chance and watched first 4 episodes.
Ok, I'll admit I was too harsh with my initial opinion on pilot...

It's entertaining and very fast paced, which is good.
Characters has interesting backgrounds, which is very-very good.
The direction is solid and FX are fine, which is a huge PLUS in my book.

The acting and dialogs mostly poor, which is the bigest problem I have. Believe me, I wouldn't complain if they were part of the overall direction, but that's not the case. It's especially hard to get through after watching awesome emotional scenes, like the one where Barry tells his father how proud he is to be his son (had me in tears).

Anyway, good times. I'll continue to watch.

Yea I love this show. The tone is great and I like all the characters. The Reverse Flash story arc is awesome.

Sad we won't see the same actor on the silver screen. They should use Wally West in the flicks.....

And PO at DD? Not liking it or the story made you mad? I just finished Fisks very ummmm smashing episode 4. Enjoying it. The ending fight in 3 was pretty kewl.

The direction is very inconsistent and overall editing is terrible.
Every episode drags like a three hours movie with little to none action and lots of poorly executed drama.

It pains me to write, but:

lol, yea, Beth will never make a convincing villain in anything. She too adorable, can't believe she is 30. That episode was alright, some of the bee scenes like noted already didn't make sense. At least Barry found a new ability with his powers. Felicity is so perfect, Barry better end up with that chick and not Iris. Iris comes off as really annoying often.

What was the new ability? Shoot, I was so focused on the more Atom-centered episode I forgot a little bit about Barry I blame the writing for Superman Returns because I hated Brandon in that role but he has SO much charm as Ray Palmer and I love the character. Didn't care for him too much in the JL series.

Agreed with Iris. She's pretty and all, but I don't really like her "character" that much. She hasn't really brought much to the table except being a nuisance to Barry and now Eddie, poor guy... I even prefer Barry-Caitlin but then again, Danielle is just...

It really is too bad Gustin couldn't be big screen Flash, theres so many scenes where he just hits the note. Regardless of costume, mask up or down, etc... he just exudes that presence on this show to the point I get comic flashbacks and Flash was the first comic I began reading so he even had to overcome my "minds eye" Flash. He does it and this series is great. Cavanaugh makes for an awesome Thawne, so obviously having a great arch helps add fuel to it. The rest of the rogues may come off as corny, etc.. but I look at them as mainly filler to the chess game going on between the Professor and Flash, so it doesn't bother me one bit.
