I am really liking the show, but there is an element of "cheapness" to it (probably not the right word). What I mean is that with the time travel element in play, the writers are free to get as crazy as they want (kill people, reveal big secrets, etc.) with no reprecussions because the reset button can get pressed at any moment. They have already done it with Cisco's death and Iris learning Barry is the Flash. I just hope there is a solid resolution at the end.
Why do some people want awesome beloved characters to die? This is a superhero show, you can get drama and tension without the coercion of death.

I'm assuming you haven't read the Flashpoint paradox, it explains why you should not change the past as you please, in fact, they did that in the show too, but I'm assuming they're gonna do that Flashpoint thing too.

Here's what I don't get. Harrison Wells was a genius, but was Thawne? Since Thawne took Wells body, but not his brain, how can Thawne still continue to make billions from Wells genius? Also, so sad to see the real Wells and his wife die like that.
Thawne is already incredibly smart, I read on the wiki that he can also absorb intelligence via physical touch, that's probably what they did with that little gizmo of his.

This show is so good.

I'm hoping the real Wells is still in there somehow because once the reverse Flash storyline concludes I'd like the actor to be able to stay on the show. I don't see the reverse Flash story going on for 2 or 3 seasons as fast as they're revealing things. Of course Barry can fix it all with time travel too.

After thinking a bit, that could actually happen, they did that with Cisco so why not? I'd like him to stick around as well.

:lol "Tough crowd" reminded me of Joker from one of the TAS episodes! :yess:
Every word that man said in this episode made my ears melt, loved it.

Cool the white symbol finally makes an appearance. Now if they could just get rid of that chin piece.

It would be a pity if Cisco doesn't get the chance to become Vibe, he's just so likeable. The funny thing was from episode 1 I always felt Barry could trust Cisco where as I never felt he could trust Wells or Caitlin.

That was another great episode! At first when they showed the other guy was the Reverse Flash, I was hoping Dr. Wells was good after all and he was only being coerced into doing bad things. I thought maybe RFlash was tricking Wells into believing that if he helped him get his time travel powers back, he could save his wife. But then I remembered that he spoke in the first person to Cisco and then the transfer at the end. I have to say that the effects for that was rather good! It didn't look too CGI-y and actually looked a little like practical effects in that it was a little rough and jumpy, not overly smooth like CGI.

I too am hoping that Dr. Wells is either still in there or that the timeline can reset to keep him alive.

They hinted a few weeks back when Cisco invented a sonic vibration weapon but then went and had...
Eobard Thawne kill him
...and if you look at what Wells tells Barry....
that events will always find a way to happen
...and usually worse than they originally happened, that would mean no matter what Barry did...
Iris would fall in love with Barry and Eobard Thawne would kill Cisco

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Guess who has finally seen the light?!?!

Chap is getting caught up on The Flash.

Matt S. was right. I was wrong. Good show. :lol

:welcome1: old Fox... :wink1:

The other night I read something about ANOTHER Arrow/Flash crossover and was like 'well, this is gonna get old quick.' I don't want to not be in the know. It was on sale on iTunes. Bit the bullet. I really like it. I need to learn to keep a more open mind. I thought the first ep. was 'meh' which I saw shortly after it aired. But I picked up with Episode 2 and it was a big change. Like it a lot. I'll be joining the discussion, all caught up by next week hopefully. Long way to go.

You won't be disappointed. :wink1: Arguably my favorite show on TV right now. :yess:

I know I'm WAY behind but I like what's going on with Wells.....I know some big stuff went down recently. So I'll be avoiding this thread until then. May drop a few newb comments here and there though.

No problem, and yes, avoid at all costs. After seeing the post credits scene in the first episode, you already know something's fishy about him, but you'll get a lot of twists along the way that will keep you guessing. :wink1:
