I got about ten minutes into the Magenta episode and turned it off. It's hard to get into a new season when Westworld is out there.

I usually don't notice episode directors anymore but the awfulness of this one, plus the last name made me take notice. Armen Kevorkian. He's the special effects supervisor but according to IMDb the only thing he's directed is two episodes of Flash. Stay in your lane man.

So how come Flash couldn't duplicate himself when he was on top of the building trying to stop the ship like he did when he defeated Zoom?

When he duplicates himself they are just mirages/distractions, no clones, so they wouldn't do any good.

I have a feeling Magenta may return. Since she is now "good", and Flash may need her help in the future. Also wasn't Magenta a former love of Barry in the comics?

Whe I heard Alchemy is actually restoring powers to people from the alternate timeline, that gave some foreshadowing that Wally might go to Alchemy for his powers. Like when Frankie said she had dreams of having powers, like Wally did when he was talking to Jesse.

She was Wally's gf for awhile and was in Teen Titans for a bit.
That whole Wally run during the Waid/Johns era featured her as a villainess for a few different arcs, she was quite powerful.

Maybe Wally will become Savitar or another bad speedster. One rumour was Black Flash will appear this season as well, so maybe him. Then he'll redeem himself to help beat Alchemy. Or he'll die late season redeeming himself and that will be part of the final plotline to beating Alchemy. They did it last season with his Dad, and Black Canary.

It's a time remnant, not a mirage or distraction.

In the last episode of season 2, Barry created a time remnant so one Flash was fighting Zoom while the time remnant agreed to save Joe and sacrifice himself to stop the Magnetar's effect on the multiverse.

Zoom used the same technique several times.

The mirage or distraction is another separate technique used by The Reverse Flash in season 1. I don't think the RF is powerful enough to create a time remnant because only a time traveler can do it, and RF can't time travel by himself.

Didn't he say in that finale the time remnant isn't something he could do everyday, and that it drew the time wraiths out of the speed force? I'd think he want to avoid doing that or face the same fate as Zoom.

Otherwise, he could just keep creating them every instance he needs "an extra hand" to defeat a villain or solve an obstacle.

I am visiting my friend up in Vancouver Canada and ran into Jesse L Martin just walking downtown by himself. I didn't ask for a pic like an annoying fan boy but told him that I love the show and he said thanks. Nice guy, I'm sure he was in a hurry but stopped for a minute to small talk.

Third episode was...ok. The villain was forgettable and not much happened. New Wells seems nice and I'm glad he's still part of the show. It's a slow start so far, but we'll see where this goes.

I think we're in Episode 4 now, but I disagree. I'm really liking this season, arguably more so than S2 - this far in. No more evil speedster as the 'big bad'. I think I'm really going to Alchemy as the big bad.

Tonight's villains were pretty cool - clever talents. I liked it. Yes, it was definitely filler, but I really did like it. It's the only show I watch that I can count on week after week to be good....and it delivers.

New Wells is pretty cool. I don't trust him though.

And anybody care to guess with previous Wells was going to say? Anything important or was it more a 'joke'?

And I'm really starting to believe the theory posted here about Alchemy awakening Wally's speed. They even mentioned tonight how he didn't get sick when running along with Jessie. I think the powers are there, but he needs a catalyst to bring them out. He had them in another 'time' so I'm betting Alchemy tries to recruit him eventually - showing him how things could have been.

Yep' they kind of did away with the Mirror Master pretty quick.I was kinda digging on Top she was cute with an interesting power.So is Joe going to have a new squeeze?I don't know about the new Wells.He's just a little toooooo happy to join the team.He's looking for something,the preview kind of gave that away.
Tonight Caitlin used her power to free Barry and she is changing..kinda hot in that shower.

I think the series needs a shot in the arm,a really good double episode Alchemy thriller.But then that would mean the writers have to really write something different from their pat villain of the week formula which is starting to get a bit MOLDY.No more speedsters please.
