I was hoping for Ronnie over a future Barry, but gosh darn it, I love that it was Barry.

Love this show in general. :lol :rock

I guess I'm just surprised Frost was so 'into' him - when she found out.

Really curious and excited to see this season finish.

The show is ****ing dumb. They gave us a redherring by showing someone else with a totally different body getting the speed. The writers really did run out of ideas after the first season.

I hope HR survives into next season!

You know I was thinking tonight how much I miss the "original" Harrison (when he was actually Thawne) and even into S2, when he was Earth 2 Wells. I miss the smart-type version. I don't mind the goofy version, but it feels like a shell of the former.

I will say that this show has totally catapulted me into DC comics. I'm going nuts on Flash history, catching up on TPBs. Such a great read.

All four Wells, (regular Wells, Thawne-Wells, Earth 2 and HR) have been outstanding.

The Waid run into the Geoff Johns run is just outstanding, even though it's all Wally it's such great storytelling. They've released the Geoff Johns omnibuses into trade paperback form recently so they're affordable now.

I need to check these out then. Thanks for the heads up. (And thank you, Amazon Prime. :lol)

I so wish DC would pull a "Marvel" and do an Unlimited digital subscription thing. I can't stand Comixology either. So pretty much I have no choice but the single issues or TPBs. I would love to stick to digital at a reasonable cost, like Marvel Unlimited.

And what's a good place to find all of the Flash TPBs that have been made thus far? Amazon is too confusing - too many re-releases listed, etc.

This site is a good reference, especially once you get into the 90s;

https://www.tradereadingorder.com/character/flash/

You can weed through a lot of the early stuff because the golden age stuff is so tough to read. Your best bet is on ebay for most for most of these, especially if you can buy a bundle of them.

I think this is almost all of my Flash books. A lot of issues get skipped but with DC re-releasing old stuff it could all get released.

I love that collection! :rock And thanks again for all of the advice.

So I'm working on the Flashpoint series at the moment, but if you had to choose my next Flash TPB series, which specific titles would you recommend?

Literally, all I've done is either walked into B&N or ordered from Amazon. So I'm choosing blindly with the little that I've started with (now that I see all there is to offer.)

You'll find way better deals on eBay because the books are older. I always put together a spreadsheet of the collected trades, their order and issue numbers before buying into a character I don't know; I'm beyond **** about reading order haha. With the show you have enough back story so I'd say read the trial of the flash which features Barry, read Crisis on Infinite Earth, (it's super confusing if you don't know C and D level characters and their other-Earth versions).
You can skip a lot of the list and if you start out on that site with The Flash: Born to Run and read through the Flash books in that order, it's a great read.

Because they've laid the ground work.

Reverse Flash telling him he is the villain
He is the ONLY one that has a Speed Force connection and knows each character intimately
He has dark hair
Savitar calls him "Barry" except in rare situations like "I am the future Flash" not "I am the future, Flash" which is a definitive statement of identity not of intent.
It mirrors a recent comic storyline
The flashback with Jay isn't really relevant and also Barry is the first one granted speed in that universe

For those saying "Eddie" I'll say "maybe" but it doesn't make sense.

- No Speed Force powers
- Blonde hair
- Doesn't know Wally
- Doesn't know fake Wells/HR
- Doesn't know Jesse
- Doesn't know Jay

The Ronnie theory doesn't add up either. Plus Caitlin was married to him and had lost/regained him before. Her reaction would have been more significant if it was Ronnie despite having the coldness of Killer Frost. I mean of course this is just logic and they could have just allowed poor acting in that situation.

Looks like I was on target.

Meh, turning out to be barry is weak and means they have run out of ideas. Oh wait, we haven't done eeeeevil-barry yet! And have him kill the love of his life! Hope next seasons arc doesn't a speedster bad guy.

My theory is he kills Iris to ensure his creation. He doesn't obtain "Godhood" or anything or the sort with "love" in his life.

Like he mentioned "we can free ourselves of mortal needs" (paraphrasing).

That's just stupid. It really makes no sense. Thankfully i enjoy the show too much to let it faze me, but if it tries that **** again, I'm quitting it like Arrow.

If Iris does die, I think it could easily be a season of rogues. A broken Barry not wanting to go on, but he has to, and the villains are taking full advantage of a broken Flash.

Maybe they put Iris in the future to save her like in the comics and then we get a version of the Wild Wests series

They already confirmed no speedster villain next year.
