Seems like the mods on https://www.sideshowtoy.com/?p=29857 are not posting any criticism because I posted two comments yesterday and neither are showing up today. One was asking about Magneto's helmet being on the back and the other asking if the EX head is just the prototype and neither was posted.
weak.....same probably goes for the reviews on the site, nearly every review is 5 star.

Why offer reviews and comments if they are only going to allow the positive to show up? All that is going to do lower their credibility and they have already taken a beating on the QC front.
I really like this statue and will be preordering the EX tomorrow; I really don't understand why they put Magneto's helmet on the back and I am hoping that Sideshow will tweak the EX head a bit (although I HIGHLY doubt it).

Damn that sculpt for the face is hideous! I wonder if the Elites will still get the EX just because they need to be Elites!

Because their site is there to sell collectibles, not for honest back-and-forth debates about the merits of these collectibles. Or for criticism of any kind.
I will be getting the EX because I actually like the EX head. Most will in time. You'll see.

ugh... I'm not digging it. First off, I don't like that the lens area of the visor is so thin and narrow on the regular head. Second, the pose seems too similar to a lot of PFs recently - standing tall with one knee up on something (e.g., Cap, Bucky, Thor). The EX head is also gross. Reminds me of the odd lumpiness of the Silver Surfer headsculpt.
I'm really disappointed, because I was very excited about this piece. I just hope that if SS does a Cyclops comiquette, it's in the Astonishing costume and posed uniquely/awesomely (I'd love to have him posed like in Ski Man's signature).

I don't like the ex head at all, it just looks....wrong. Regular head is ok, but I think the visor is a bit thin. While Cyclops isn't in my collection plans, I still think overall this PF looks pretty good. Congrats to those of you that have been waiting for him for so long, and I do hope they do a comi in his current uniform to join him.

I fell off my chair when I saw this ex head. For some reason I think it might be cool if his mouth closed, I assumed that most people display Wolverine with regular head and Sabertooth with ex head, it would be weird if display them together and they're all open their mouth. And his eyes...
