Yea I like all. Get out!
I am a seasoned collector and I have both scales. A seasoned collector should have enough of each scale to display them well with their respective scales. To write off a scale completely is questionable, no matter one's experience.
But, I admit that I accept it even if I don't exactly get it.
That's how I prefer it too honestly. But, I'm not gonna write of a righteous piece of statuary because it's 1/5. Heck, I still have plenty of Bowen pieces, SS dios, GG and Moore pieces that aren't anywhere near that large. Quality is quality. Scale is scale. Apples and oranges, yo. Now I am feeling like a busted record. Sorry.
I can't emphasize enough how much I HATE PFs! Not the sculpts, but the silly looking clothes they put on them. Believe me, I know what I like and what I don't like. There will be NO regrets. Especially since most, if not all of these characters, will also be released as fully sculpted comiquettes.
As much as I detest PFs, I will agree with you on the Gambit PF. He is by far the best statue of this character released. He is also sporting a fully sculpted costume. Only his jacket qualifies him as a PF. The problem I have is that I'm not a Gambit fan. I don't care enough about the character to pick him up. Besides Gambit, I also feel the Mystique PF is stunning. It is the only PF I own. I won't sell it because I love it. However, I still like the AH! comiquette just slightly more because she is wearing her classic white dress.
In the end Crysis, I buy what statues I truly love. This is why I have no regrets.
^ I like my Sabretooth PF. I think the costume is spot on, my only problem with it is that Creed should have been more bulkier. Everything else though is just fine.
Yeah, I always though the Wolvie PF had not a candle to hold against the comiquette, which is probably my favorite depiction of the character. The only way to increase the level of righteousness on that piece would be to do the brown outfit. I think the Sabes PF is a very kickass piece that is utterly destroyed by the fabric used. I mean I REALLY tried to dig it, but couldn't make it past the loathing of the fabric. Here's hoping for a Sabes comiquette that matches the splendor of the PF... sans cloth.Man Barb, that is EXACTLY how I feel on those 2 pieces. I already have the EX Wolverine comiquette so I didn't even blink when it came to passing on the PF. However, I really wanted to love the Sabretooth PF. I just couldn't stand how he looked wearing his PJs and slippers. I still have hope that a Sabretooth comiquette will be made somewhere down the line. If that looks good, I'll definitely be picking that up.
It's surprising that you dig the Mystique PF that much. I have actually often thought of picking her up, as I also find her quite impressive. The only things holding me back are the amount of pleather and the lackluster base. I still may pick her up at some point. She is incredible. I also passed on Gambit because I've never really been much of a fan and there was a murderous release schedule at the time, so he didn't make the cut. He is a phenomenal piece though. Still may pick him up too....Besides Gambit, I also feel the Mystique PF is stunning. It is the only PF I own. I won't sell it because I love it. I'd buy them all! Well, maybe not the IM. Already have so many, but who knows? If it's that good, I'll get it. Good post all around, D.Amen to all that.
As Gore group, & Viggiano studios tackle more comiquette Marvel characters, the results will leave PF versions in the dust. Already the Hulk, Spiderman, & Punisher comiquettes are way superior than their PF counterparts (IMO). Just waiting for the south american boys to sculpt Captain America, Thor, & yes, another Ironman . When that day comes, truth will be told, & I will be one happy mother-fuego!
Have you seen that custom without the fabric? I think it's either ComputerFly's or Greatwall's. Come to think of it, could'a been someone else. Anyway, it's pretty dang sweet.I still like my Sabs PF, but I do have to agree that the cloth material makes him look rather chubbies. I think that his bulk looked just fine, just hide underneath all the clothing.

I'm also a HUGE fan of the Mystique comiquette! I LOVE IT!

BlackCat PF rocks
IMHO, both the Black Cat PF and comiquette are lacking. I'm not a fan of either. I think Tim Miller nailed Black Cat for Bowen designs. To me that is the best Black Cat statue I've seen.

Good that you're not a fan of the character then since I think that's it for Felicia from Sideshow, unless of course they release a Life Size Bust of her which I highly doubt. Don't care much for the character either so I'm not really concerned.
Now to get this thread on track, seeing that the Bucky PF got pushed I'm getting the vibe that DD will follow suit.

well it doesnt look like this or the Sue Storm Comiquette are coming out in the next 30 days... we will be lucky to see this by end of May / Early June. Dont expect to see Cyclops or Bucky in June.. maybe July.
is it me or is sideshow lining up a Q3/Q4 statuefest again?
