yup which sucks for me cause i try to lineup only one flexpay per month due tofinances and now everything is gonna be at the same time again!!! then i have to cancel and pay inflated prices later....argggg!

I just went back and looked at the onslaught of statue that came from July 12 - Aug. 26. What's that about a month and a half and here's my list of statues. None of these where Flex items either...

July 12 - X-Force Dio'
July 14 - Snake Eyes vs. Red Ninjas Dio'
July 26 - Wolverine PF
Aug. 4 - Spider-Man LSB
Aug. 11 - Gambit PF
Aug. 17 - Sabretooth PF
Aug. 26 - Ironman Maquette

That was a brutal month and a half and all though it was fun. I'm not all that egar to have a repeated occurance of this kinda onslaught.

When the estimated shipping date slips for a piece (or multiple pieces), then the NRD policy shouldn't apply anymore. People pre-order these statues with an estimated ship date in mind so they can budget accordingly. When that schedule gets screwed up, then the budgeting gets screwed up too. We shouldn't have to suffer for a screw up on Sideshow's part.

:exactly: :clap:goodpost:

Most of the stuff I have coming got pushed, except for Cyke but he'll probably end up getting pushed as well. Sideshow has too much on their plate right now. That's why I thought it was funny with that "Sinister is on SS' to-do-list" when they haven't even done the ones that should have already been released. Shenanigans I tells ya!

Im in the same boat. I still have 2-3 things from Sideshow that are still marked as April, obviously there's only 8 more days left in april so that's not happening. This kind of thing makes it incredibly hectic to keep an eye on. They were doing really good there for awhile, they were even listing the EXACT date your card would be charged on the item page. I'm not dropping the blame on them wholeheartedly because I work for a company who produces items in China and they also have their own sets of delays etc. I just hope it can get back on track soon.

Maybe Sideshow is delaying new product releases so that they can move more stuff that is still in their warehouse? :devil

I know the longer I wait, the more I am weakening and thinking of picking up the Black Panther PF. :rotfl

Damn you Sideshow!

Luckily my purchasing habit, once I reserved an item, I deposit the amount into my "collectible" account. But I have way excess my limit on 1k a month for 3 months since I start collecting SS items. Sigh.

SO SO TRUE! :thud:

I agree Ski with that statement, I also feel if the item is delayed because of the company's control or uncontrolled, the individual that has placed a pre-order should be compensated in some form, lowered prices, gift cards, or 15% to 25% off next purchase, I have strong doubt's that SSC customer service would do that, because it's all about the bottom line.
In retrospect if you FAIL to meet your deadline then you should make it right JMO

Your opinion seems right on. Basically SSC should be aware that its fan base continuously attempts to plan out a buying schedule for the coming months by their initially stated release dates. Sure those release dates are subject to change...but that should be more of an exception instead of a rule. Just from looking how things are playing out the NRD with moving release dates seems to be a loop hole so to speak for SSC to bring in some overhead cash flow. Doesn't seem fair to collectors themselves. :dunno

Barbarian, my prediction (wish list!) is not a huge stretch on my part, as so many sculpts from Canale/Viggiano have already reached "grailish"status, & rightfully so; Xmen vs Sent.#1 dio, Hulk vs Spidey dio, Wolverine vs Sabertooth dio, Cap vs Red Skull dio, Thanos/Mistress death dio, Hulk, Spiderman, Punisher, Venom, Carnage, & now the Daredevil comiquette.
As for a Sabretooth comiquette(?), can't wait! And I have a hunch that another Wolverine Comiquette, brown version, will also be released, hoping, as I do not own the 1st version.
Also hoping for new comiquette versions of some characters that did not appeal to me upon their initial release. These would include, Namor, Colossus, Ironman (looking for a more dynamic pose), Silver Surfer, & Wolverine (though it looks good, I envision a Canale/Viggiano version, so I can't look back. And of course we should'nt forget the villians; Apocolypse, Dr. Doom, Galactus, Doc Oc, Magneto, Rhino.........etc
All in all, it can only get better from now on! Now, I may have to strangle, & sacrifice a chicken this weekend, ......just to speed-up the process.
Take care brother.
:lol TMI, brother! JK, I'll behead and eviscerate one too to add to the magic. :hi5: :devil

I love that list. Yeah, as far as Wolvie goes, I would abso-friggin-lutely LOVE to see a Gore version comiquette, although I do already love Ray's Wolvie. I think they're about the only folks that could do one in the same league (or better). I have the Wolvie vs. Sabes (among my favorite statues), and both characters in that statue are so damn incredible that it makes me want them in 1/5 or 1/4 comiquettes of the same style.

So, you didn't dig the original Magneto comiquette? Pablo Viggiano did that one, and I think it's pretty dang righteous.

Well, here's to sacrificing chickens to make our dreams come true. :duff

I dig that. Man, I have so many things on flex that my monthly payments are getting INSANE! :panic:

That does seem pretty dang brutal. Remember last year's 4th quarter? I got so frustrated, I wrote SS and asked them why they would do such a thing. I mean spread it out and I could probably get at least 90% of what I want. Shove it all into 1,2 or 3 months and I'm screwed! Something's got to go!

They responded with the typical we try to spread them out, but factory delays sometimes cause issues with blahblahblahblah.

Dude, it's the perfect time to play catch up with the pieces you missed out on! Do it quickly! RUN!!! :panic:

IMHO, both the Black Cat PF and comiquette are lacking. I'm not a fan of either. I think Tim Miller nailed Black Cat for Bowen designs. To me that is the best Black Cat statue I've seen.
The only problem I had with the Black Cat comiquette was the floating grate design. Aside from that, I really thought she was sexy as hell and quite well executed when I saw her revealed at SDCC.

Barb - you're the devil.

I just thought of another reason why pieces are being delayed. They must be re-making a crap load of Thanos Dios which wasn't in their original schedule. Sideshow said the replacement Thanos would be available in April, but it doesn't look like they are going to hit that date.:slap

:monkey3 :D

Yeah, when I sent mine back, they told me mid-April. I'm thinking "mid-April" has passed. I just want for them to cure these shipping box ailments. I really don't want for them to simply rip out the styrofoam around Cap's shield and send it that way. That's pretty dang amateur.
