I meant to the bigger story, any relevance?

I'm not a big fan of DD, but I think he's basically on the opposite side of "The War". Stick, Stone, Matt on one, and I THINK The Hand on the other, I believe Elektra is on the opposite side too.

That's correct in a nutshell Bransen. The Chaste is an "offshoot" of The Hand, they broke off when they soured on the way The Hand was "doing things" they are at war with another.

Finished the series, amazing.

As for the complaints about Fisk, we know he'll get out of jail...and I can see him being more calculated and "smarter" in his decision making for his "business". If they go that route, it's great, because you see the evolution of the character from a big strong bozo to a smart intimidating crime lord.

Charlie Cox was great at Murdoch, hoping to see him in Civil War, as an actor he has earned it with his portrayal of the character. Hoping season 2 happens!

Finished episode six.......Christ an awesome show. I wish time permitted a binge session unfortunately not in the cards. I love, that I,can watch all episodes back to back versus waiting a week for,the next installment....kudos,Netflix

My thoughts on the series

I really enjoyed the dark tone and I completely agree that they have raised the bar for a comic series but I did have a couple of complaints about show.

I thought that Fisk was odd. He seemed extremely sensitive and standoffish and not the calculating kingpin that I was expecting. I was used to the spider-man animated show version. Anyway, he had brute strength but I'm not really sure what made him a good mob boss. He was just killing things and being really sloppy about it. His character seemed unfocused and I know that was part of the story with the woman but still.

I thought the fighting was mostly awesome but there was a lot of unnecessary flips in there. They looked silly to me and kind of broke the realism the show had tried so hard to set up.

The biggest complaint I have is how boring the dialogue was. I'm a patient guy and I can sit through a lot of slow drama but every episode had two or three instances where a character was just droning on and talking in circles. The conversations could have been a lot more streamlined. At first I was like "Okay I guess what this guy is saying is really important" but then other characters were doing it and it was happening over and over again. I started to get pissed because I felt like they were stretching the show to meet the time frames. This was the lowest aspect of the show and I think a lot of people won't finish it. I honestly started tuning out. Even the fast paced episodes had these drawn out monologues that got me reading stuff on my phone until it was over. Meanwhile all the character was trying to say was "I need to do this" or "I'm going to stop you."

Re: Daredevil the Netflix

Loved it until the very end.
Th
e suit is meh, the way they film the suit is meh (the actor looks embarrased when it Come to take an iconic pose).
Worst of all the final fight is meh credible.
The alley set was cheap.
The fight was not any important than all the previous fights WE ve seen.
It was probably the laziest.
Fisk is presented a a violent force of nature and eh get a beat down like every stunt man WE ve seen before...
Dissapointing end to a very cool show.
Can't say I disagree with any of this but it didn't bother me as much

:lol

I feel the same way. You all may hate me but I still like 2003 suit. Was a tad bit more faithful.

The rare few people who had problems with the suit must've been watching a different show, because it looked perfect. Exactly what I expected an MCU Daredevil to look like. You would've preferred a bright red skin tight unitard? That would've been criticised too.

The costume rocks :yess:

Well the suit we got in this show is basically the 90's armor/costume and I think people just expected the full on red spandex. I just don't think that people realize that it's his 90's costume. As an interpretation of that specific suit, I think they knocked it out of the part. Plus we all know he's gonna get another suit down the line.

I didn't like it that much until I saw it within the context of the show, then, I thought it was pretty awesome. It does beg the question, though, if the armor was thin enough to fit under Fisk's tailored suits, why couldn't they have just given DD a more traditional costume to wear overtop of the armor? The notion of red spandex may sound cheesy, but, if anybody could find a way to make a comic accurate costume work, I'd think it'd be Marvel.

You probably meant "the rare few alone on their own who are not more than 2 and blind"? ^^!

Well from the ma y reactions i got when the first image of the suit was released were more like ok/meh.
But its not important how many liked it or not who cares.
I dont like the suit, even if its 90s suit i dont care, i just dont like it.
I m not into the faithfull spandex suit or bust but i just dont like the design, the lines especially on the helmet.
I do prefer the Affleck suit.
Cool if you love it.
Keep that haters routine please :)

I was so wrong about Cox when he was announced as DD, he owns it.

As as much as I enjoy AOS, DD blows it away.

Best non animated TV superhero show ever.

I like D'Onofrio's take on Kingpin, but he was always very clinical and precise in the comics when it came to his plans and decisions. He's never been given much to impulse, he is such a calculating person. This version is driven to a great degree by impulse, or rather a lack of impulse control. But I guess it's early still for him and this is just a stage in his development.

Now that I've seen the final, great, episode, I can take most of this back. :lol

That Samaritan bit showed the final stage of his development.
While I thoroughly enjoyed this and am a Daredevil comic fan, I'm actually really glad that this might be it for his solo series, and we have 3 other series and a culmination series with DD and the others. Keeps things fresh that way.
