Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I think there is a difference between this and someone asking nicely if their heads are done yet. Some people just like to check to make sure they didn't get lost in the shuffle. I hope you really don't get upset when people are just looking for a update.

I agree... It's totally ok to ask, just with respect. Everyone on this site is cool about that, so I have to say thank you to everyone who has tolerated my late schedule. You guys are the best. :rock

Oh, and Toyadventurer... Your Joker head is shipping next week. :joy

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Sorry to hear that you had such an unpleasant experience with that guy.

On a brighter note, the zombie looks great! Although I have one question, what type/size of brush do you use to make those "hair lines" because mine never look at good as yours. Thanks in advance!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Chapuchi. My favorite at this current time is the Games Workshop Fine Detail brush. But any of that similar type works well for fine lines and such...

The biggest key is watering down your paint a bit so it's highly controllable. The thicker the paint or the dryer it gets, the harder it is to paint a nice crisp line.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Here is my workload at the current time, at least half of it... :lol

Just a shout out to these owners, because these figures will be done soon. After this set, I will be about 60% done with all of my current commissions.
Some of them are done already, like Lance and the Wesley heads.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Glad to see the brushes coming into work. For more of those and the other ones, you can pick them up from any gaming shop that sells Warhammer 40K stuff and other stuff like that or direct from the gamesworkshop.com website.

That House head and the Old Wolverine head look damned good too man!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Those Wesley heads are fantastic. It's a great sculpt, but I think you managed to pull out even more likeness than was in the raw sculpt. The folks who paid for those got more than their money's worth.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

^^^^ that ****** bag Josh!! I say you jog in place for about 30 minutes, get a really really good sweat going and drag his weak ass zombie across your sweaty balls! ^^^^ him and his stuff!!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, don't pay that prick any mind man, you shoulda sent him a dog turd along with his $10. :D

Your Subject 805 repaint looks great bro! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

i think she's really saying "that one-armed dude next to me is creeping me out."

"He looks familiar... I think I might have ^^^^ed him over in this one movie... oh wait thats right it was that horrible movie called awake.."

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Nice pics Josh. I seeing all the figures naked like that just makes me laugh for some reason. Your talent just brings them to life I know that much.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Man, thats a lot of work... is that Deckard by chance mine? If it is, with just a base coat he is nearly unrecognizable.

Thanks for the tips DA, looks like I'll be stopping by the nearest Games Workshop store today.

Wow you got a really big work load there...especially all those Joker heads at the top! *hopes one of them is mine*

I just noticed the hexagon pattern pic there, I still can't believe the amount of detail and time you put in other people's customs!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Those are some cool shots J. Love that Alba! Can't wait to see your finished Jokers too.

Yes indeed it is! It's great how only one coat of paint will show how nice a sculpt it. Paint changes everything.

And thanks everyone, I really do appreciate the support. It's crazy how things get sometimes. And Josh, it is funny seeing a desk full of naked figures. Makes me laugh every day... especially when I try to explain it to outsiders. :lol

Anyway, here is another glorious entry in DarkArtist's Half Naked Pin Up gallery! Finished Xenia Onatop...

That is awesome, just like that you can see how much it actually looks like Ford, whereas before those stock paints (with one iris much larger than the other) were just atrocious! Glad to see he is in the right hands :rock

And that Xenia is another fine entry into the pin-up gallery :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I think she looks rather man-ish.

Sorry. I don't know what to add.

Maybe she's missing something?
