Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Dying is a challenge. Its not exactly a quick set up, process, and clean up either, so I don't blame you for wanting to dye in bulk. Plus these things are so small, its almost a waste of dye if you are just doing one pair of pants at a time.

Exactly... It gets so messy and my wife gets pissed at me for even using the stuff. :lol

And it's a waste unless you use it on at least 5 items per bath. And I am very eager to try it out on this new striped suit. I'm hoping the stripes stay. That way I can have darker pants on these Joker figs and they would have stripes as well! Closer to perfection. :D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Hey guys, check this out. To show my progression as an artist... here is my first Myers a few years ago.. and my current one.. How things have changed...:D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Yeah, I'm gonna say that you have progressed a bit!! Seriously, that new MM looks like he's about to step of the screen and hack me apart. That is really scary dude! Amazing work again Josh!

Thanks bro! I'm so very proud of him.. Now I need to make one for ME! :D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Yeah, shouldn't you usually keep the first one for yourself. Kinda like a Artists Proof.

Normally I do... But this Myers was made for someone using HIS figure instead of my own, which I sold a long time ago. So the artists proof is his. :lol

Mine will just be like everyone else. But at least my H2 Myers will be all mine. :rock

This pic really shows the figure off , it shows that bland expression of the mask that makes him so scary . The sculpt is dead on.:rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Having this Myers figure standing on the shelf in a neutral, straight ahead pose with the head tilted slightly to one side is gonna look f'n sick.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Great before and after dude :rock At first I saw the first shot and thought... hmmm, what happened to that great looking sculpt :lol And the funny thing is I was really impressed with that figure a year ago when you first showed it off... I guess with increasing quality our tastes get more sophisticated as well.

I'm gonna go pee in my golden toilet now.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I think it's very fitting my first piece ever from Josh will be Michael Myers as Michael is probably the first thing I came to talk to Josh about around here when I saw his awesome mask, and we both see eye to eye when it comes to Michael. It's going to :rock to have 2 great custom Michael Myers figures in my collection

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I just cant wait to see your progression as a painter in person. I have the Connor you did very early in your painting, when I get the heads in that you are currently doing I can do an in hand comparison.

The progression between the 2 Myers is phenomenal.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I am honored to have an artist proof from the master!!!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Seriously Josh! I can't wait to get this piece from you, very excited right now! Can't wait to see the Warlock too...........:monkey5

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks a lot everyone, I can't wait to have a long row of Myers on my shelf... all going out to good friends. :rock

As I am in a comparison mood today, thought I would share another cool comparison. The MM Joker figure, pre paint and after paint. Pretty funny what paint alone can do.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Wow, you did an amazing job. It look like ^^^^ before you got a hold of it.

Man, does that guy have a jaw on him:google

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

That is just amazing. I can't belive how much better it looks by simply having a talented person paint it correctly. I'm even more thrilled by this now Josh!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

The funny thing is, that the sculpt isn't all that bad. Once painted and on the shelf, looks like a tiny Heath. Especially from the front. From the sides it gets lost a bit, due to the jawline and the neck joint. But as a stationary little figure, it's pretty impressive for that scale.

And BIG HUGE thanks to MaulFan for hooking me up with the Joker and Batman figs, very very cool of him and I will not forget it. Was awesome to get them in last night. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Yeah before your repaint I just thought it was a sculpt that at least resembled the Joker if nothing else. But I can definately see more Heath in him now. And like you said, considering the small scale, thats not too bad.

You should do a before and after pictures of everything you do now to show just how much you improved them!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I'm amazed you can get details like the roots of hair along the hairline in something that small.
