Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Just got my Saturday Toys suit in from Unitoyz! Its GREAT!!!! And the body it comes with is actually pretty damn good.

I cant wait to get my Bale sculpt from you Josh:rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys! The H2 sculpt is getting some final touches and will be revealed in the new few days I hope.

And I LOVE my HD TV... it makes me drool daily. :drool

And great to hear about that suit set, Chase! I was wondering how it would look.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, just want to say that everytime i come to your thread, and am even more impressed with what you are doing. Just when i think you have topped everything, you pull out your latest offering which blows everything out of the water. Your signature doesn't do justice to your talents and needs to be updated with all your new projects!!!!!

keep it up man. and congrats on being a mod. i hope you don't slap me too hard.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

:lol Don't worry... I won't slap you too hard. :D

Just finished a slight resculpt that will interest people here... pics as soon as I can.. along with a LOT more.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Can't tell if that's a hint at Warlock or not.

Warlock AND another one... :D

I stumbled across a PERFECT sculpt for the H2 sculpt, it was amazing I found it. It's just a slight rework and that's it. The nose, mouth and eye placement could not have been better. :rock

I just sculpted half of it, it's in the oven as we speak. I will finish the other half TONIGHT and post pics of both heads, as well as the Joker updates and the almost done Bale head for Vader. :D

I'd say another 30 minutes and it will be posted...

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Hmm, now you've got me really curious, a different head works out great for Warlock Michael, I look forward to seeing that, and hopefully learning what head it developed from. I think that's a great gift of yours Josh, you don't just transform what's already there without a different paint job, you can find something in an existing sculpt and make it something totally different. Both of your Joker's are astonishing transformations from heads that had nothing to do with the character. It's like Karate Kid, Bonzai come from inside, with you, a head sculpt is just a raw tree and you prune it to something fantastic.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

That is a pretty cool way of putting it, the Bonsai analogy... It's something I really learned from Les, he opened my mind to the possibilities of sculpts that already exist. To take something that is entirely unrelated and find features in it that, if changed, make it into something you really want.

Funny thing is, both times this has happened... I never could find another of the original heads. They both were one time finds, just lucked out. Serendipitous situations, the both of them.

I can't wait to show it to you bro, it really did surprise me.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Ok, it has to be said, did you find a 1/6 Shatner sculpt? hehe.

:lol No.. I WISH though.

I just did the other half, it's in the oven as we speak. I hope it works out... you never can tell until you have some paint on it. This is the scariest part of the proces for me. :horror

The only time you need to be worried about things in the oven is when it's an unplanned bun :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Here are some shots... First of the almost done Bale head, another is a rework of my Joker head (made specifically for the Robbery mask by Buttmunch), and my H2 sculpt which will need to have the hair carved away and real hair glued in place. Also needs a little cleanup, but nothing too major. Anyhoo... here it is.

First up... Bale and Joker..

Damn, that Bale is looking sweet!!!! I cant wait to see it finish:rock

And that Myers looks great too!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

That Joker is looking sweet! Did you get the mask yet? I'm justed worried it might fit.

But the Dark Knight is AMAZING! Beyond words. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, Michael's looking sharp, I may PS an image with proper hair just to put him in context. Something about having some hair and it being the style it is throws me off a bit looking at it versus your bald shots of the H1 in progress. Of course when years of watching Halloween burns the Myers silhouette in your brain, the slick, combed look of the base head you're using is interesting to see.

So is there an identity to the base head or just something you came by?
