Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

If Josh ain't a Howse than why ignore my repeated pms to work out a deal and call it even by comping me another figure in lieu of a refund so its no sweat off his back? I've waited 18 months while I watched this guy take people's money and buy his PF's and figures and repaint them long after I paid for a figure he had for sale in the for sale thread and come to find out he hasn't even made it then I see others get their Ash figure months later. I'm tired of hearing the bleeding heart stories. Man up or pay up.

I understand your anger and frustration. But please, can we refrain from bringing up the Howes incident in this thread. It is only adding more fuel to this fire.

Thank you.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, THERE IS a difference between you and that other "guy". And I see that you're still rolling with the punches to make things right. Though I do not feel it's right to put someone who commissioned in October (I presume of 2009?) on top of your list when I and many others have been waiting for 1year or more. But if you feel that will help you and the situation out, then so be I will suck it up. But if you can please just address some of your other customer's question directly or give them an option and just follow through quickly, you may just lighten the burden on your shoulders. For me and my commission for the Jason 8 figure, if you can not afford a full refund, I don't mind a partial refund or if you have the parts for it, just send it to me as is and I can put it together, which I might find it fun to do. Focus on your schooling and I hope things turn around for the better for you and family and do what you need to do to better yourselves off. But a little update here or there for some of us that have not been more "vocal" would be greatly appreciated, at least we desere that too, don't we?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

If I am supposed to show Josh some respect then maybe he should return the favor? I have PMed him so many times and then asked if he could just swap a figure he was selling for the one he owed me. I have tried to work out the situation for a refund and I was just ignored. I think he should take care of people's money in the order in which they were received. I would like to know where I stand and where the other people who paid and want an answer stand. If you want to write off your money to him that is fine, do it. But I however do not. I would like him to man up and take care of this situation.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I think all this back and fourth about Howes doesn't really do anything. With all things considered and with all the things happening, I think we should try to work towards the best solution.

Personally, I don't want my money back. I would like to have whatever Josh has finished up and then call it a day with all of this.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Kevin, I get your frustration. But tell me to "man up" one more time and I swear I will snap.

I'm doing everything I can. That's all I can do, all I will do. I may have been an idiot and taken money, thinking I could finish right away. I will accept that. But what I won't accept is someone coming on here and bashing me for telling the truth about my situation. It is what it is.

You asked me to trade you a figure that I own to right the situation. I sold that to another person, so I could not do it. Where did I go wrong in that situation? I would refund everyone if I could, but I am broke and cannot afford to do it. It's just that simple.

As for me purchasing figures and PF's. I haven't done any such thing. My collection is damn near empty. You can ask anyone who was at my party in Oct, my room looks like a bomb went off in it.

The Ash figures, as I have stated before... were a mistake. They didn't work out, my methods are not as advanced as I would like... so I haven't been able to find a way around the problems. The molds are producing crap pulls, and I can't seem to get them looking clean. But you and ALL of the Ash commissions will get a bag with all the stuff including the heads and chainsaws ( I will do my best to clean them up).

As for keeping track of the list of commissions and what order they were in... it's all in Paypal. I admittedly am not a great organizer, so I never put them into a spreadsheet or anything fancy.

And finally, my PM's. I know I don't reply. It's not a slap in the face to ANYBODY. I just get hundreds upon hundreds of them and honestly can't keep up with all of it AND still have any time for paint. Either I paint or I answer PM's and emails. So I choose to do what little work I can. If you have a problem with that, I honestly have nothing to say to you.

And Papito, you and all other Jason orders will be filled. The part VIII's are already half way done as it is. But they are coming slowly, primarily because of time constraints.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

hey Josh

I understand your are going through alot of ____ right now and wont hold it against you if you send back my Lee Batman statue. I have sent you a few PMs just to follow up but I know your situation. Please let me know the status, if it is near done or not you can just send it back as is...either way no hard feelings.....Hope things get better for you and your family bro.

Josh, that's all I ask and thank you for an update.

Thanks

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, there is nothing left to be said. Your quote says it all, I would like it as soon as possible.

I apologize to all who have outstanding orders. I am offering (REFUND)S and whatever else I can, post in my thread if interested

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Dront, you and Sined are at the top of my list. Not because you have waited the longest, but because you two are the most vocal. Is that right to my other customers? No. But I am doing it so that you guys can leave me alone once and for all. I'm not rushing it, but I will post pics here before the weekend is over. I'm not lying, not stalling for time. Pics will be up, believe it or not.

I'd like to be part of the Dront and Sined top of the list group please. I'll pay for shipping too :peace

Josh, you have a will of iron and the patience of a saint. I don't know how you manage to keep your cool.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

This thread needs to be locked with only Josh able to post in it. Complaining is not going to make it go faster people.

The sooner people come to terms with the reality of the situation, the easier it will be for them to deal with it. I don't know if the problem is that they aren't getting it, or if they just don't want to. I can understand being frustrated, but I don't understand how anyone thinks venting that frustration is going to produce results, particularly when it's been demonstrated time and again that it only makes the situation worse.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, thanks for posting here. My offer still stands, my Ash will not need his headsculpt, no refund will be required if you manage to do this. :) got any idea on how much time that would take?

sincerely, Jeroen.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, I am behind you 100% in all you do. I think you know that by now. I have not asked for you to send my heads back and, in fact, have told you to take your time because I want the DA touch on them. But, and again it's totally your decision, I think its out of turn to reward Dront and Sined because they are not patient and prefer to whine like little girls ( I was going to use a different word but I didn't want the Mods to have to mod it).
You, Les and I have all gone thru so many similar 1:1 catastrophies in the last 18-24 months that no one can really understand the pressures they impose. I do.
I am personally insulted by these a-- wholes who make the howes references. I have known you for a long time and that thought would never enter my mind. But, as a friend, and I understand the frustration of the nagging by certain comrades on the board, finish the long waiting orders before those two. :monkey3

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

this is fueling the fire man. Just leave it be. Josh is working in the time he has and has got a plan and thats what matters.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Though I am beginning to finally come around to the idea that I may not get my figure for a very long time from here (read: another year or two), if at all, closing the thread seems like a really bad idea, given that Josh does not respond to PMs or e-mails. Some will say thoughtless things that are insensitive and not productive, others will post what are, frankly, equally unhelpful platitudes that Josh should be given as much time as he wants and no one should ever say a cross word. Whatever the case, this is Josh's customers' only real way to communicate, vent, or support at this point. If you take that away, then that would only contribute to the "Howes" vibe that some are talking about, and I think that would suck, because Josh does strike me as a good guy in a ____ situation who just can't meet his agreements.

I am beginning to think that abstractharmony is right, and many of us need to just kiss our money goodbye. However, even if I don't have much else to say on the subject (though I might), I don't think any of us should have the right to deprive his other customers of that right. Having said that, the ball is really in Josh's court. He has the ability (from my understanding) to close this thread if he feels like it, he can communicate when he wants to, or he could simply decide that this is too much on him and he needs to just leave the board for good and leave all this behind him. If he wants to do any of that, that is his prerogative, and we will have to learn to accept that. But I don't think anyone here who was his customer has the right to dictate to other customers how and when they should be able to communicate. Josh has lots of friends and support, and that is great, but people have given him their money and their trust (and in some cases, their own figures/statues/material), and now don't know if they will get this back in any reasonable amount of time. That matters, and I think it would be useful for people to step back and understand all that before jumping down others' throats.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

I think the obvious problem as always, is lack of any real updates. No one is getting Pms back and thats been explained and is understandable, your working.

But then no one is popping in to say I got this, and no pics are showing work being finished. No one really knows what the situation is and its confusing to those waiting which is going to lead to anger. And they have that right, they payed their money so they get to be angry if they want, unfortunately thats life.

At the same time I understand Josh's frustration and this isn't his fault. If he has someone at home who's sick they take priority. But at the same time it doesn't completely nullify other commitments he's made to other people. Yes there toys, but toys paid for with money. Money earned, no differant then ours, their time no less important then ours no matter how its spent. No one gets the right to judge whos time is more important. To come on here and say things like you've thought about killing yourself however is unfair. How can anyone say anything to that? Its like saying God told me to do it. Now if I try to say anything but sorry I love you, I look like an _______. Both parties here are clearly overreacting, and frankly I don't see this situation improving as long as this sort of thing continues.

When you offer to send things back but then won't respond to people who just want it back, your torpedoing yourself. If your going to make a plan, you gotta stick to it. Like Sov Studios it was rough but its working.

I think anyone who wants their stuff back should be able to post here in this thread, and then Josh can compile and acknowlege that list in a certain time frame. I think within two weeks he could have a full list of who wants things back. After which the only remaining people would be those willing to wait. Then you could lock this thread so only Josh can update it from that point out. That is IMO the fairest course for actually getting not just some, but the most work possible finished in a timely fashion as he won't be wasting time on work for people who just want it as is.

Frankly I think this entire community should be sick of these threads by now and its not condemning the artists but its just no good for anyone or the hobby. :peace

If any of that was aimed at my post above yours I meant fueling the fire by calling other members names. I am one who thinks this thread should be left open too , ecspecially if Josh is finding it hard to work through emails hes getting , this is the only means of communication.

I was mostly referring to people saying the thread should be closed, presumably because some posts might make Josh uncomfortable and the associated thought (by some) that no input is better than negative input toward the end of getting Josh to shipping people back the unfinished figures or whatever. Based on Josh's input here, though (finishing up work for those who are the most vocal and negative), the opposite seems to be true.

Also, I agree with the sentiments behind Deckard's post. However, I don't think Josh is willing to finish works for anyone except those who have been hounding him. The impression I got is that now we are all going to have to take what he has finished already, and that's that.
