This. :lecture

At this point, I am assuming that I will get nothing. It was supposed to take a couple months and has now been a year and a half. He's obviously burned out and has said that he won't be finishing things, as he is simply is not making any progress because of his personal issues. But I don't even suppose I will even be getting the parts that he already finished.

I'm not angry at a guy like Josh for that, though. His life has been hell, and I have nothing but sympathy for that. I have been fortunate to have things go pretty smoothly for me, personally *knock on wood* and am genuinely sad to read of all the crap this guy has gone through. I'm not gonna file some internet crime report or anything like that. He's got enough to deal with. But then, I haven't sent as many collectibles or as much money as some others.

It sucks, but lesson learned on my end. In the future, no matter what you pay for (including customs), if you don't get it in the Paypal dispute period (45 days), then file a dispute, hopefully get your money back if possible, and move on. Even people with good reputations and good intentions can have life throw them a curve ball. But of course, buyers have the right to try to protect themselves.

100% agree, but would also add that some responsibility needs to be taken by the commissioners. When you send money halfway across the country, world, etc., there's a certain amount of risk. While in this case it wasn't intentional, there's always the risk of not getting it back. And some of the blame for that should be owned by people sending cash and collectibles with reckless abandon to people they've never met that don't have established businesses.

Yeah, but they paint so much better than I do! :monkey3

Hope all is good in the hood Josh. Ignore the bad, focus on the good bro.

At this point Josh has not been on the forum for a while - so please email him to ask about your commissions as he is unlikely to see anything posted here.

I'm sorry that people have had problems - but bashing in this thread would not be productive.

THe problem is that he don't reply to pm or mail. SO what to do?

I could be misremembering, but I believe that Josh himself asked folks to post messages here, because he was not likely to answer PMs or e-mails.

I don't disagree. Certainly, it would be best for people not to get in over their heads, and accountability should be sought in most situations, if possible. But this guy's case is not the typical case.

And I don't think it is sending with "reckless abandon" when you are sending money to someone well established on the boards with extensive positive feedback (and no negative feedback as of the time that I sent money). Sometimes you can take most reasonable precautions and things still won't pan out.

Alright guys this aint helping with throwing the insults around so lets cool it.

Pretty much my resignation, I would love to just send Josh more money and have him send the figure I am owed as-is; but I won't be holding my breath - I don't know where exactly he lives, but he makes it sound like the post office is far away. :dunno :angelsmil :lol

Not that its an excuse since i use to skateboard to the post office( you got to do what you got to do)! But having been to his house i can honestly say that ____er lives in the middle of nowhere! there is nothing in like a 30 mile radius! :horror

i sent him money months ago to ship some of my stuff back. it was more than enough. i got nothing. i think it's safe to say i will never see my stuff again. look for the Craw's headless figure sale in a few days.

Sad. Very sad. Even after sending additional money to get their stuff back, those people got ripped of a second time. Like I said, sad.

Dront's post has been edited and if I could I'd permanently ban his ass right now, but it's up to Dave.

I can understand being beyond frustrated by this situation, but to wish something like that on another person is going too far.

I just deleted a bunch of crap that was pointless.

I fully understand people's anger and frustration. I was a long time supporter of Josh's and I am surprised he has decided to be MIA from this board. It is inexcusable.

People who are frustrated have a right to vent, but death threats are NEVER OK. At this point, I don't know what to tell you guys. If Josh is not coming to this thread nor answering emails - you have no way of communicating with him.

I will ask those people who have his phone number or other avenues to reach him maybe try to let him know that he needs to deal with this situation ASAP.
