Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Rock on!! :rock:rock:rock

Thanks for those man.... That sculpt is always hard to paint, but I'm really happy with the result. He looks plenty mad and not scared anymore, which has always been my problem with the sculpt. I'm so glad you like him and I cannot wait to work on that Hudson! :duff

Josh, love the new avatar! :rock

Thanks Batty!! I just reread Watchmen and I forgot how much I loved that comic. Also realized how badly we need figures from it. Working on Rorschach first and will then maybe do more. :rock

Yep. Almost all of those are mine. :D

They are:

SSC Anakin, custom SPR Miller, Medicom Wolverine, SSC Obi-Wan, Hot Toys Supes, Marvel Studios Punisher (Thomas Jane), Hasbro (unproduced) SPR Miller.

Josh, you :rock

Nice! I thought it might be Tom Jane, but I forgot Marvel had made one so I figured it couldn't be. Pretty nice collection of heads there, Irish.

Just curious, but are SS's heads (Anakin and Obi) a little on the large side? The Medicom Wolvie head looks to be quite smaller and I don't think it's the neck making it look so. Are SS's heads a little out of scale?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

You know, Miles?.... I agree... Something I have notice over the years... SSC heads are just a tad too big IMO. Wolvie is perfect scalewise, despite being smaller. Hot Toys are damn near perfect all over, height and head size. SSC stuff tends to be a little bit oversized... but the clothes do make up for it.

I guess when they are all lined up like this... it does look a little odd. :rotfl

That'll be cool! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I hope that with the movie being made (keeping fingers crossed), that someone like HT does figures.

Well, the Hicks head is still finished... like it was in the last shots I posted of it... and the locks are just about finished. Should be ready by Friday. You wouldn't think they would be hard, but silver and bronze paint seems to be thin and take a million coats to cover...:lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And I also finished my Michael Myers custom, resculpted (albeit badly..:lol) rehaired and repainted....fully weathered. Really fun to do, but took a looong time to complete.

Thanks Josh! I'm just glad to finally be getting somewhere on it... was just being so super careful not to mess it up. The material is very soft and I was worried it wouldn't take the paint too well. But it suprised me. I'm very happy now to start the weathering process.... the best part! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Josh, is that Myers done to resemble the Rob Zombie version a bit?

Just a tad, but not in the face yet... still need good shots and I will probably put the cracks and stuff in there. I realized in the middle of working on it that a part 1 Myers was probably out of the question with the sculpt and hair I did up for him. :lol

It looks great. I really am pleased and can't wait to see it when all is said and done. I knew you could pull it off!!

You should try to track down a 1/6 Shatner head somewhere that might work? Maybe if SSC ever picked up a 1/6 Classic Trek line.
