Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

:rock:rock:rock

Thanks Josh! He was a lot of fun, so much so that I went and bought myself one to turn into a Shock Trooper. :lol

I'm really glad you like him and that I have not over-weathered him....as I have been known to do. :D He should be in the mail tomorrow.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

No thank you!!! Really :D

He's perfect IMO.

Can't wait to see your shock trooper. I may end up buying another and sending that so you can Shock it up as well.

You should have seen me posing him next to my figures and showing my wife... I was really excited for you! :lol

Can't wait to see him safe and sound on a doily! :D

There will be doily pics no doubt!!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Nice work DA! You've really been knocking out some great stuff lately... and your 501st is awesome! You did a great job of creating the clean lines and then adding some great, and very realistic looking, distress :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Wow guys! Thanks a bunch! Yeah, the trick with this one was to first paint it pristine. Follow that up with brown weathering, and then black weathering.. back to brown...:D

And the white to finish. That simple. Just needed the time to put that all together in my head. And to imagine why each and every area I distressed would be that way in the first place. :rock

And Irish.... SWEET Punisher fig!! I love what you have done with him. Can't wait for you to get the box and attach that head... gonna be sooo worth it.

WOW, that figure is going to rock. Irish, you need to get him that sweet bow and arrow too, I loved that whole final punishment scene of the film, Thomas Jane was a great casting selection, it's tragic where the films are going is so off that Jane can't back them up and pulled out, but from what I've read from him, it sounds like he'd have loved to reprise the role but I guess P2 just wasn't shaping into a good representation of the character's origins. Josh, nice work on the Jane head, can't wait to see this figure finished by you both, good collaborative work here gents ;)

Finished a long time project tonight... Josh1's very own 501st Clone, battle damaged and direct from the front. Very happy with how it turned out. I'm not as proficient at this as Hurricane, but I gave it my all. :rock

For those of us new to the scene, which Clone trooper is that (HASBRO, Medicom)?

Congrats J1 and J2, looks awesome and that Ghost Rider is a thing of beauty, not a fan of the film but def a fan of THAT. Just superb. :D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Yeah, all these look terrific J2! :D
I really like your blast marks, or scores, on the surface of the clonetrooper. Very cool. Looks like that armor does work!
Great stuff. I am sure Josh 1 is SUPER pleased! He looks great.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys! He was a lot of fun to do, and a challenge as well. The material Medicom used on this Clone was pretty soft so I was worried on how well it could take the paint without wanting to chip off... but it really surprised me.

I can't wait to do another one! :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

He's on his way to me and I cannot wait to see the work in person. :D
