So... Given the SDCC exclusive preorder schedule that has been revealed (taking up all of the Friday mornings until June 16th), when do you expect to see the 12" Darth Maul figure go up for preorder?

Umm...no Maul's been announced guys...

...and everyone dissed his boots so much, maybe he had to go back to the cobbler for a retread...

As usual, Dave does have a point.

Although, here's a fun fact: Each line has pictures on its SS webpage and each line has been started with a figure who has been pictured on that page. Jedi Luke, Han, and... we know armored Vader is aways off...so that leaves you-know-who.

(and yes, Sith Anakin is kicking off the line, but that is a SDCC exclusive...so I'm still betting Maul will be coming. I pray anyway.)

Didn't the last Podcast say something like: "We admit that the half a Darth Maul was a joke, but don't worry--the real thing will be up for sale before long." Or something like that.

Yep, there's that too. I don't know, but it seems that SS has been giving every indication short of an announcement that Maul is indeed next.

Of course, we may be waiting until July...

Hopefully it'll be sooner but if it's after the SDCC Exclusive pre-orders have finished then my wallet will breathe a sigh of relief :lol

I don't think the SDCC preorders will prevent a Maul preorder. A few of those exclusives don't look like things that would exactly tie up the servers.

Plus as was said, there's always Monday, or even Wednesday.

I highly doubt they'll wait 2 1/2 to 3 months to presell the next Star Wars 12". I'm not even sure they can and still make that 9-10 figure number they said would be out in 2006.

I'm thinking he will be announced at SDCC and put up for order then. Just seems like a good way to do it. I wouldn't mind the wait either... I'm gonna be pushing it already with the figures I have on order plus the convention.

I'll probably be the poorest collector at the con! :lol

I would say May, 1:1 Darth Maul bust is coming in May so perhaps we'll finally have our Darth Maul 12" preorder next month...

"I can not teach him, the boy has no patience."

It will come. We all know it. It will most likely be the next figure in the Sith line. It will most likely not be announced befor early June. Just think, after it's announced, there's another six months to wait before it's released.

I'll say sometime late June maybe early July. I do think he will be put up at SDCC.

They did say that Tom so he is coming it's just now a matter of when more than if. At the latest I would think SDCC would be the time.

I wish we could preorder maul this month...it wont be until 4th quarter that he would be released to ship anyway.

Here's something nobody's mentioned yet. Who says Darth Maul can't be on one of those Fridays? The day doesn't have to change if the ORDERING TIME does.

Think about it. SDCC pre-orders at 10:00 am PST, and then Darth Maul later on that day...maybe 12:00 PST or 1:00 PST.

Personally, I'd love that because I'll definitely be home from work for that one.

They won't do two PPO in the same day. The haven't yet and that's a lot of work for Chris, Dusty, Chicky, etc. on the web team.
