Pay all your bills and put so much a year aside for your collection. Unless you get something at a really bloody good price. Just stand your ground. It's what I do. Works great.

I would claim it full value, why wouldn't you. If the seller has the pics to show it was okay then the shipping company screwed it up. The seller shouldn't be out and neither should you. However, I am a newb so we need some more experienced guys to chime in.

I got her when she first came out, and before I knew anything about Star Wars. I didn't think I would ever have another SW piece.

I would claim it full value, why wouldn't you. If the seller has the pics to show it was okay then the shipping company screwed it up. The seller shouldn't be out and neither should you. However, I am a newb so we need some more experienced guys to chime in.

Hmm will the shipping company really want to pay out 900.00? It won't be easy. Remember mine damage statue? I hope its not by USPS otherwise they will give you a very hard time. They even denied my claim with all my receipts and paper work. I had it fully insured for the full amount. I hope it was ups or fed ex. They are so much less pain to deal with. They are good too. USPS is a big joke. Insurance to them is useless.

Oh my! USPS for 900.00? It took me 3 months and each time I send them more info they say I must wait 25 to 30 days to decide. Then they said they need more info. I turn it in and wait again. Then they need more info. Then no response to my many emails, I send a few letters, I go to the post office every 3 days for 3 months. Then no one can help. I then call every 3 to 5days for another month. They tell me the turn around and 2 people says different things. Then I might have got then money from one guy if I turn in one more info sheet. So I scramble sent it in way before the deadline. Waited another 2 weeks. No reply. I call and drilled them of all this bs. Then the lady said it was denied 3 months ago. Huh? I told them it was fully insure but they said it's not their fault. The seller said it's not his fault. So then I get stuck with a broken statue. I wish you the best of luck my friend. Maybe it was just my own bad luck. I really hope you do much better then I did. I now demand all my statues ship by ups or fed ex or no deal. Never again. Never never again. Btw ups did pay me for a very tiny crack on a statue. They are so much better than USPS. Ups came to pick up my item, and that's it. I did nothing else but wait. Then got my refund in a couple of months. Now that's easy!

Thank you very much!!! Some of my friend tell me to ask for partial refund, cause I can't wait even a month for that little damage, I wish the seller can make it work.

Yes all I know is for anything expensive never ever use USPS. The insurance is not to cover the items but to make them extra cash. Fully insured means nothing. It's totally useless. I was shocked at how a statue cracked so they won't cover it even when it's insured. So unless you don't expect to get a refund. Otherwise stay away from USPS on high price items.

I have had a couple pieces come USPS with "Signature Required" on the box and they just left it at my door without even knocking. I was at home and expecting it so I found it more funny than anything. Good thing I was there.

I had my most hassle free insurance transactions through USPS, or at least, that secondary insurance that Ebay usually picks for you when you're selecting insurance. Had my judgements paid out via Paypal in under a week.

UPS has been 50/50 for me in terms of insurance payments. They handled my highest value one well but a lower value one that they left in a puddle when the buyer wasn't home? Took them about 3 months to pay that one out.

You really need to check your local and state laws on this matter. US Mail, UPS, Fedex, even Johnny Pony Guy. It's up to the seller to get you the item in the way you bought it. Sorry you don't need to buy insurance. Sure you can if the backer is worth the money. But in the end its comes down to how you paid for it.

That said.....

I don't ship anything by us mail. Right now this time of year I have two trucks from UPS an Fedex coming each day. Pickups and drop offs. Everything is over night items. No problems at all. Sure they cost more, the buyer pay's for it. Not me. No I don't sell what is on this board (Food).

I still go back to the two SSC items that I bought. That was not ship the way I wanted it. Those to looked like a postal truck ran over them. Both sellers in the end had to eat the total cost of the items. Forget there was a 3rd seller, the tracking still said it's in MD. For 9 Months! I was refunded after 2 weeks. I don't play around and I know Calif laws on this.

All the seller need to do is hold you off for 45 days. Remember, eBay and PayPal are in Calif.

I should have the picture on my cell if anyone wants to see it. The two boxes (see Above post). This is why they are hurting for money. To many lost item, broken items. They make you (ok me) go to the post office to pickup my boxes. I have to listen to them try to selling me shipping. Sorry you hit something bad with me (it's was not your doing).

Anywhoo...The $600 KA Mix (610 Model) UPS paid for, the police came out. Look at the video, and KA had me one out the very next day. Less then 24 hours.

Oh if you send it back to the USPS they most likely will damage it more. It happen to me. But in another case I decided to not return it. Because it was ms marvel so I had the seller help me repair it instead. The statue just like talon is so rare it's too dangerous to send it back and forth and then have people touch it slap it back into the box anyway. Then ship it back again. Chances are the fingers can crack off, the statue can crack on transit or shock. I really hope you can come to a conclusion which both sides is happy. Even when you claim insurance do you have receipts for the trade? USPS will drill you for so much info, that it will be difficult to get from a trade. Just my expierence from the USPS which I learn a good lesson from. I will never do it ever again just not worth the trouble or headaches. Not to mention the big loss.

The seller won't do anything besides claim insurance first, no partial refund or any other way to solve the problem. It told him all above you said and he still telling me to do so, I was pissed and tell him forget it and I will not leave any good feedback to him, he been selling many statues now, I don't know if this will happen again.
