Congrats, this is an amazing Vader statue. IMO if this were 1/4 it would be the all time greatest Vader statue hands down.

Even at 1/5 it still might be. The Obi Mythos is far and away the best Obi Wan statue ever made.

One of my favorite statues, and the only thing I have at this scale, which I avoid like the plague. Its great that its nice enough to stand on its own.

Look for the one that was custom painted black. He got rid of the excessive orange and it's the best one I've seen.

I've seen the all black version and while it looks nice to me it kind of defeats the purpose of the whole statue. To me that orange glow shows his conflict and him being "consumed by the flames" again. But that's what's nice about these.. everyone has a different idea of what they represent.

They tried to interview the Sideshow employee who packaged all of these Vader Mythos into the boxes, but he was unavailable for questions...

I love this statue. I much prefer 1/4, but this being a scale down really doesn't detract from its awesome-ness at all. It's still large and impressive over all. I even love the glow paint, it works well imo. 1/5 or not, this is the best Vader statue out there by far imo, it eclipses the PF's. Only the Iron studios version might better it.

Right from the beginning there was something about this statue that drew me to it. I'm not normally a statue collector, but i knew this was a piece i had to have.

You see! I absolutely love this. :lecture
Whether it was touched up with some black paint, or positioned as to not display so much orange, I love this look on a shelf.
The glow from the lava/flames below is not overwhelming the overall presentation of the piece.

Thanks for sharing. :duff

Thanks Centurion! It's just the positioning...there's no black paint added.
Cheers!

I may have an opportunity to buy this but what is a going price now without overpaying? It would fit nicely in my Detolf that is filled with Hot Toy figures only. At the same time, any word of this line getting other figures? Or do I buy The IS Vader

eBay can go from anywhere between $700 and $1000. And as far as I have heard and can figure out this line is deader than the dodo bird... So the 5 we got and that's it.

I had mine on Ebay (UK) for a while, I only listed it as I'd purchased the incredibly expensive Dog Alien form P1 and could have used the funds at that time. I received a huge amount of watchers, and lot's of low ball offers. I removed it myself after a few weeks of that as I'd rather keep it than sell it cheap and Ebay is a hassle to sell on these days..

But if you have the chance to buy one, do it! and pay whatever it is worth to you as it's an amazing statue in perosn!!

No problem...

A few bright daylight shots that exaggerate the orange and male the base look white (it's dark grey) You either like this concept or you don't, I love this statue personally. It has to be seen in person really...

They look great, thanks! I do not have anything bigger than your typical Hot Toy and the PF are just too big! Plus, I just love the story behind this figure rather than your typical movie portrait poses. To each their own but love the colour effect and detail!!
Really appreciate the daylight pics Python!

Also, make sure you get the correct "Power" arm and not just the one that crosses his chest.

That looks quite good (like the one I used to have). But I remember seeing pictures of pieces that had way more orange, like all over the dome. Sold mine when I realized I couldn't get the others for a reasonable amount.

There's some great pics online where some have custom painted this to where the only orange was on the base.
Then there's some where they custom painted to significantly minimize the amount of orange on Vader's cape/uniform/helmet.
Both of these look much better. I think Sideshow went overboard with the orange overspray.

I definitely like the sculpt of this statue, but the traffic cone resemblance made me not buy it.
