Not blown away. I already have the 1st one which I like more with Obi One then this one with Fett. This is going to have a huge production size so I might pick one up down the road. If the EX is a switch out portrait or something really cool I might preorder.

Also, I still hope for an EX that makes it truly worth it...

Maybe they just didn't turn the suit lights on saving some more reveals for thursday. Kind of how they didn't turn on the light saber in the video. I'm sure they'll also reveal that his head can turn.

I just really like the vibe of this piece. Even though it's not scene specific and the base is meant to evoke ROTJ it still feels reminiscent of when he was watching the Falcon escape at the end of ESB. FINALLY a 1/4 Vader to own.

An EX head would not have worked even if they did have sketches for it. I can't see Vader walking around the Death Star with his lightsaber lit and helmet off.

I will admit he looks killer here. Seems like this was the pose / angle intended.... Which he looked great from all angles (You can see SSC gave us no straight on shots)

The Boba Fett exlusive was originally a switch-out McQuarrie helmet but Disney said that technically someone could then display either helmet as a "1/4 scale helmet replica" and that Sideshow doesn't have the license to sell scaled helmet replicas. I bet the same thing happened with Vader and since SSC couldn't give him something like an alternate blaster they just scrapped the idea of an exclusive altogether.

That left arm still hasn't come down.
Notice that they deliberately omitted showing any pics of Vader straight on so that we could not see that his left arm is raised.

The Darth Malgus PF had very impressive light features. For this piece is it really just the lightsaber only?

As I stated... It seems that the angle intended was the one pictured above.. Will not be the first time that SSC or other company has released a piece with a particular display angle in mind.

From that angle he looks great.. I wish he was 360 degrees great.. But he looks pretty awesome In that shot.

I will probably PO this. I loved the mythos Vader but 1/5 and orange made it not perfect... This is still not 100% perfect but with head turn and at certain angle it is.
