Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I'm excited and not excited for this movie. It really bothers me that they went back and did reshoots to make it more "funny" and conveniently did it after BvS opened to bad reviews. I loved BvS, but it obviously could have been paced and written better. The buzz on suicide squad was already good, so wtf man. Just leave it be.

Those rumours were squashed by the actors and directors. They said it was adding more action scenes. Apparently WB liked what they saw and asked the director what else he wanted to add.

Pssst!

- "Rogue One" reshoots, hardy har har.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Yeah, but nobody's quoting YoNoSe. There were reshoots for this movie, rumors had it it was because of BvS to make it funnier, actors and director squashed the rumor. There's a coincidence there, but other than YoNoSe's post, which nobody's quoting, there ain't no joke!

Riddick, get your **** together! :cuss

I did hear some of that, but I'm often inclined not to believe everything a studio or its "employees" say. I remember when Joe Johnston took over The Wolfman from Mark Romanek, and the whole time JJ was saying "everything is going well", then weeks after the release he was a little more forthcoming and discussed what an actual catastrophe it really was. Lol. Same thing for Transformers 2 and the masterpiece of a reboot known as Fantastic Four. Lmao. Everyone totes the line during pre-production, then all the spectacular truths come out afterward. Even Jeremy Irons trashed BvS a little weeks after the movie was released. Lol.

What happened here is that WB was happy enough with Ayers' first cut that they said he could go back and shoot some scenes he had originally has to cut out of the script for budget reasons.

Oh I have the utmost faith in David Ayer. After all this is the guy who wrote Training Day and directed Fury and End of Watch. From reading others posts, you work for a movie studio don't you? So maybe you have some insight into this move, but I just hope it's true. For me, It's all about maintaining the integrity of the project. Like I said, it wouldn't be the first time a studio, director, or actors said one thing about a movie pre-release and then completely change their tune weeks after it comes out. Overall the movie looks great and I'm really psyched to see Batfleck go after this "version" of the Joker. [emoji106]
