Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Check this out. (Still hate the track though)

From the looks of it, Leto can't improvise to save his life or he doesn't get the character. Then again, it must be confusing to be dressed like Joker while some fake gangsta's ***** rap song is playing. Because nothing says Joker like a crappy Rap song. :dunno

Eminem would be a better choice, since he has a dark sense of humor and he's a comic book fan.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Though not like a reboot really, that's how the original comics worked. Just rotating guys in and out.

Makes me want to see the movie less. Terrible. If you're gonna have Joker in your video, have him do something that Joker would do. Not walk around, doing jack ****.

This the Leto joker era, not ledger. That's him being the joker, just in da club, poppin bubbles, wearing chains and grills hangin out with rappers :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

My sister's a huge Harley fan and has been hyped to see this for months. She went to an early screening last night and when I asked her how it was she said "I don't even want to talk about it.".

I'm not really sure what that means.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

were some of you guys really thinking this is was going to be another TDK? set your hype levels different, it's not a sweeping epic, or an award worthy crime thriller. it's just a fun, kick ass movie with great performances.

holding anything against it in that way is rediculous, and will disappoint you regardless. from the very start they marketed this movie as just a good time, quit looking so much into it, take it for what it is and you'll more then likely enjoy it.

My theater last night was packed, and people cheered and clapped at certain moments. it seems like the GA is really liking it.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

The sad part is I guess DC will have to stop taking all these risks and just make a straight forward movie like that of Marvel.

You can already see that they are doing that with justice League and wonder women . It's sad as these movies are becoming repetitive and predictable. This whole movie building to a sequel makes each movie it to nothing more then a TV show with better casting and special effects

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

one of the changes I did like that deviated from source material

Joker and Harley's relationship. In the animated show he was abusive, manipulative, made her expendable and straight up didn't really care about her. He was like that in the comics, too. In the movie they made it seem like he was just as crazy for her, as she was crazy for him. The relationship was still ****ed up but not as abusive. They even showed him at two times trying to "leave" her or get rid of her but he kept going back and in the end had to rescue her.

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Does this movie really have the same RT score as BvS? :lol

It now does, in record time though. One day?

Just hire Nolan back, pay him 80 gazillion dollars and let him do his thing, WB.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Feel dirty because my Brother bought me a ticket. I refused to buy the BvS bluray because I don't want WB thinking that these messy narratives are acceptable and the reviews for SS are really not good at all. I wanted to make a statement by refusing to give WB money to force them to either stop or re-evaluate their plan. Yet as soon as he said "wanna go?" I simply turned around and said "yes, yes I would"

Nolan gave up towards the end. TDKR was a good bookend to the trilogy but is easily the weakest movie in the trilogy. Again that's not me saying it's a bad movie, I like it, but it's my least favourite of the three and it has some questionale WTF's about it. You could tell Nolan was done.

Agreed.

Also, Nolan's films are good films with comic elements in them...but they aren't good comic book films. They're great neo-noir style films...but fall flat as Batman films for me. Batman is very much not like Batman in his films. Def not a detective in the slightest. It's like he made a movie, and then decided to add in the Batman stuff afterwards.

It didn't help we had Sean Connery as the villain.
