Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

If Hardy brings in Labeouf as baggage then yep, get rid of them both. :lecture

But Hardy is... HARDY! Though, to be honest, I'm glad he passed on the role. He could easily be the protagonist of antagonist of a CBM. Any man who can keep me entertained in a movie about a guy driving and talking on his phone, has my full support. I could see him as Wolverine, Hawkman, or even the Question.

The one actor I have trouble imagining as a comic book character is DiCaprio. The best I can come up with is Fantomex.

I can't believe I just read that with Kenobi's voice in my head. :lol

Same here. :lol

He was truly the best thing to come out of the PT.

I would love to see him as OWK again.

I can't believe that dialogue was better than what we got in the actual movie. :lol

:lol :lol

Mel Gibson is definitely no stranger to controversial views and statements, and given the remarks he got in trouble for in the past, I doubt he’s too worried about angering BatFans by dismissing Batman V Superman as “piece of ****”, which he just did in an interview with Deadline.

This “piece of **** business” is probably all anyone will take away from this surprisingly long and thorough interview, which is a shame because there’s so much great stuff in there. Gibson talks about the production of his new film Hacksaw Ridge and goes into interesting detail about a number of future projects he has in the works, particularly The Professor and the Madman.

And yes, he does call Batman V Superman a “piece of ****”, but he does so within a larger conversation about Hollywood finance that feels surprisingly candid:

I think there’s a lot of waste, but maybe if I did one of those things with the green screens I’d find out different. I don’t know. Maybe they do cost that much. I don’t know. It seems to me that you could do it for less.

I don't know about you, but I almost want him to do "one of those things with the green screens". The interview is a long read, but I highly recommend it.
