Before any EX fans get up in arms... Of course I was kidding about the EX eyes... I have no Idea why Superman is not Sold Out or even at low quantity alert.
But it's probably because of the eyes

Well at the end of the day its still 2500 of a $400 statue that is a luxury item. Not sure if its still collectible but ill b getting mine

Considering the EX superman after buying my first statue (hulk Maquette). What does the statement from the SSC website mean, that there is the option to display without the worms???

If you buy the Exclusive it comes with both the heat vision(or worm eyed as it's being referred to) and the regular head. So you can switch them out.

so you can get the regular head as well??? Bit of newb here, but what's the fuss about the worms if you don't have to use them? I was only questioning it because I thought I would have no choice.

The fuss is because a lot of people like to display their Ex pieces with the Ex head. Unfortunately with the current Ex design it would look ridiculous so people are up in arms about it. It is probably getting changed to something better though.

Many of us would like to display both heads or actually like the EX sculpt better, minus the eyes. With the worms there we are afraid that we will have an ex head sitting in a box for all time.
Nope I totally admit that the Ex could be slowing the sales, BUT the Ex ES is BIGGER then Batman, so they MUST figure they can sell them.... My guess is it is a combination of the uncertainty around the Ex and MAYBE the Batman Reg has been sellin less then they thought... Making 5000 a better number.
Oh and you have used that Joke before, but it is okay, it was OLD the first time you used it...
As mistermark pointed out, it's Superman's 75th anniversary so perhaps SSC put out 7500 for that reason. If that is the case they probably figured they could move 500 extra EX then Regs.

well I buckled, had to order the EX, especially now you guys have clarified it for me... thanks. On a side note, I sure hope they change the eyes, pretty weird looking. I have the Hulk Maquette and have found an awesome image of Metropolis in ruins that will be the backdrop for my Hulk vs Superman Diorama My two favourite characters even if they are dc/marvel. I don't care and it's going to look awesome.

I'm feeling pretty good about my Ex order and cannot wait to get Supes in hand! I'm pretty content with the ES considering it's one of the most popular characters in comics ever. I wish they had made a few less of Batman though...
