Has anybody seen a reworking of the EX sculpt yet? Im praying that we dont get worm eyes.

No there hasn't been any news on that front, and I am kind of surprised that you even bring it up... No one else has ....:cuckoo:

:wink1:n seriously though there has been no word, and I wouldn't get my hopes totally up. The Ex for this did sell out in 2 weeks.

I don't see them removing the "heat vision effect"...maybe re-working it a bit...but, I think it's here to stay. It looks ok, just not what I would have done.

I'm betting there will be a custom head commissioned out there somewhere.

I think Spazzy and Vince MAY be very busy:lecture? That or people will change their minds once it is in hand.

Hmmmm. Starting to lose my excitement for this piece. I just look at photos from the last SDCC and I think it's nice but at the same time it's... well..... Boring. Especially when you compare it to the Batman PF. I don't know. Perhaps it's because my true Superman fandom comes from the first two Christopher Reeves films. Thus a Chris Reeves PF will probably be a better fit for my collection.

Perhaps it's because I just don't love the character in the comics. I like him and think he's cool when he shows up in a Batman comic. I enjoy the Animated Series. But I struggle with the comic version.

This could change once I have him in hand and next to Batman. But as a whole I think the pose, base, and overall look is rather plain.

It's why I fought so hard for them to get rid of the flame eyes. I think there is just something more interesting about that head sculpt and the pose/angle of it. Would look much better standing next to Batman.

Perhaps they will get the flame eyes right and I will be happy to display it that way.

Either way I have a feeling once a Christopher Reeves PF comes out (assuming it looks good) that this PF will be off to ebay :)

Again not saying it's bad.. Just a tad boring for me. He's such an iconic character and one that I loved as a child that I want to love this piece. But I just ort of feel.. meh... right now. Even though Bat's has given me reason to ***** and complain I have always thought he looked cool and will be an epic piece to see in hand. Superman.... Not so much.

I'll say this about the flame eyes...I scoffed at the Joker EX and Vision EX heads when I first saw the pics, but both of those turned out great (even though the Vision one doesn't make sense to me...I am not familiar with the character).

So, maybe I'll feel the same about supes. Flame eyes looks ok in the pics...hopefully great in hand.

The simple thing is that Batman is more visually interesting then Superman, but Andy B has dne an AMAZING job at managing to get the iconic look down.

The one thing I notice the most is the Canale managed to get a 1/4 twist into the torso, and that just makes it look a little more interesting then the straight on look of Superman. However, in the end they are just going to be amazing together.

Who knows maybe they will light the eyes up along with the noodles...

I don't know about the light up feature. The Supes at SDCC was apparently a production piece. So, unless they. Aren't going tie a light up feature into the base at all (like they did with GL), or they change the base, I don't know if we will see it. I think a lot of guys will be changing their tune though when we get this in hand.

That is almost exactly how I feel about this piece, verbatim.
I liked Reeve a lot growing up and still do, thought do not need him in PF form.
