However, just because they outsourced it doesn't relieve them of accountability and responsibility. SSC is on the base. SSC is on the art box. SSC is on the shipper box. SSC charged your credit card. As a customer, of there's a problem I look to SSC, NOT the factories. Having said that, SSC has always treated me fair so far. I can understand the frustrations some of our members are having.
Very well said skillet. SSC is still responsible for overall QC. It's their product. Customers that shell out good $$$ for their merch don't want to hear SSC pass the buck to factories in China. Customers will ALWAYS hold SSC accountable for poor QC and in my eyes they should. I too feel for our members that get pieces that suffer from QC. It's not all that hard to put ourselves in some of their shoes. Who wants to miss out on a beloved character in their collection because of QC issues? That said, I have been treated very fairly by CS myself and haven't had many glaring QC issues on the merch I've ordered from SSC. I have to say that I am very happy with being a SSC customer. However, this is obviously based off my overall positive personal experience with SSC.
