Ok, so for purposes of overall strategic display planning in my cave I have officially decided I need a smaller base the Trinity. They are sitting on like an extra six inches. The characters are like 20 inches. Anyone know of any attempts at a custom base for any of the trinity. Any existing ones out there or recommendations on who can make one. I had them in a special display area for a while but its time for them to get in line with the other 30 PF's in my collection

Yup... the bases on these are super tall... Not easy fittin them in the cabinet.

That is fine, just don't treat them like they are about to sell out. Put pre order up not wait list.

AGREED because it causes issues like I had at a local comicbook shop yesterday. When the do this WL crap and are just releasing them in batches, it inflates the prices. It was the first time I had gone to this particular shop. The owner had price tages on his SS PF's at or near retail. Whenever I would inquire about one, he would automatically increase the price by $100. He had one Supes PF and I asked him what he was asking for it, he said $500. When I told him that SS was producing them in batches and all 5000 pieces hadn't been released he looked at me like I was crazy and said, "oh well I know they do variants and such." Needless to say I won't be shopping there again as not only were his pricetags deceitful, but apparently ever statue gets an additional $100 added to the price on the box for the exclusive mothball/cigarette smell of the store and the 1 inch of dust on the boxes and statues.
(off my soapbox now..sorry!)

My lcs ask for more and I'm cool with it. Every now and then I throw them a bone. I know the managers and they say it's really hard for them to make a profit on the ss pieces now. The margins have really squeezed them. I see it as a service because I get to go in and see a variety pieces first before buying.

I certainly see your point and can understand that. In this particular case I just think it would have made more sense to not have a price tag on it than to have the wrong one on it. Fortunately there is a better comic shop closer to me that is clean and doesn't smell like cigarette smoke, wouldn't want my statues smelling like that especially if they have mixed media

Now a dusty smoke vibe is not cool. My LCS is really clean and keeps them in a nice locked display.

lol some of them had cobwebs on them (he had a movie version of Thor that had some major cobwebs). The boxes had like 1/2 inch of dirt/dust on them and the statues were out in the open, not in a case. Not to mention he didn't have the brown shippers for all of them....so I am actually glad I didn't make a purchase there and I am happy being on the WL for Supes.

Smoking is disgusting :yuck

Agreed. Smoking not only kills people, but statues as well. Double negative.

I have a few spots where they have most of the SS PFs and HT figures and they keep everything protected behind a glass. They collapse all the shipper boxes with the plastic bags and will ask you if you want it. I haven't noticed or smelled any smoke so I'm assuming it's not an issue there. I don't mind paying a little more, but if it's outrageously too high, I walk out. The stores have to charge a little extra in order to make a profit to keep their doors open.

Well he was wanting $500 for Supes, which is about the going rate on eBay. However, I mean I'd rather just hold off and sit on the WL for the next batch and pick him up for $400 and get some RP. The Supes wasn't the issue as much as every time I picked up one of the SS PF art boxes that had reasonable prices he would increase the price. I'm like screw you dude, I'm not paying an extra $100 for it when I'd have to clean it and the art box and not have the shipper.

Had this pre-commmisioned and picked it up at Baltimore comiccon. It's spectacular in person. Can't wait to get it framed and hung next to Supes. Artist is John Watson and it 12×16.

The brown shipper really doesn't affect anything

I get you, bro. When I walk into these places they better have the attitude that the customer is always right or I'm out of there. Where I live, you can actually talk down the price and they don't make you feel as if they're doing you the customer any favors by buying their stuff. And the places I go are environmentally clean. Cigarette smoke and collectibles don't mix. And I certainly wouldn't pay more for anything I can still get from SS. I'm on that waitlist for Supes too, so I'm glad that there are more that will be made for the people like me that procrastinated on this magnificent piece.
