Looking good chobits! As for the Darkseid/Luthor Trinity question...if you are looking at buying the Trinity that's 2 more PFs you are looking to add to your collection. Would it be a problem for you financially or space wise to add just one more? If not, I would say pick up the Trinity and add whichever villain you like better between Darkseid and Luthor. I personally have the Trinity and went with Darkseid because he's a powerful villain that can take on the entire JL all on his own.

Thank you! Financially not really, space however is an issue right now. Darkseid is really cool and love the classic design of SS. now that I think about it, eventually I might go with collecting the justice league since I got to have a Flash and Green Lantern... I'll see how it turns out.

No and no. The EX is only available in the aftermarket and is now selling for more than it retailed. If you really want the EX the best place to look is in the for sale section of this forum or ebay.

If you want a museum pose of the comic version of superman Pre-New 52 then yes. Unlike Batman there is not a lot of 1:4 superman statues out there, well licensed ones anyways......
The EX is sold out but the REGs are shipping in batches. You can still PO a REG. The problem is that the color scheme seems to have changed on these new batches. His cape and boots seem to be a much darker shade of red now. SSC even changed the website pics to reflect the changes. IMO, the 1st batches had a much more vibrant red color on his cape and boots that looked much better.
I personally think this is the BEST Supes statue ever made. It just looks phenomenal. If I could only have one Supes statue for my collection, this would definitely be the one. If you are a Superman fan, I strongly suggest picking one up. If you PO from SSC they will wait until they have enough POs to run a batch. Who knows when it will ship to you? Also, the cape and boots will be a much darker shade of red. I personally like the color red that was used in the 1st batch on this PF. IMO, it looks much more vibrant and livelier than the darker red they are using now. If I were you, I'd be looking to the forums or ebay and trying to pick up an EX. You are guaranteed to get a Supes PF with the brighter red paint apps on his cape and boots. You'll also get the EX head sculpt as well. IMO, it's worth the extra dollars to pick up the EX in the aftermarket.

It's not that horrible. Comments like this concern me.
Where is that coming from? There are no "mixed" reviews or "horrible" ones, this was a home run for SS. Get one from here or eBay then you don't have to worry about what may or may not be changed with the "new batch".
This is what you should all be hunting for. The EX looks great and most importantly, the color scheme is spot on. IMO, the cape and boots are way too dark a red for my tastes on these new batches of Supes. The original batches look much better to me.

He didn't mean to say the statue is not that horrible. He meant the "new paint scheme" with the darker red on cape and boots is not horrible even though some of the critics here don't like it.

I may have missed it earlier in this thread but did Sideshow ever give a reason for the new paint scheme on the new batches. Seems odd considering this is all supposed to be the same edition size.
To my knowledge, no. They gave no explanation. They simply changed the photos on their website and updated them to reflect the current batches much darker red color scheme for his boots and cape. The sculpt hasn't changed at all, other than the darker red paint apps on the boots and cape. I have no idea why the color was changed to such a dark red considering all of these PF should be identical. All we know is that going forward, the boots and cape will have the darker red paint apps. That's why the pics were updated on their website. It's up to collectors to choose which one they prefer more. I personally prefer the lighter red paint apps as they are comic accurate and much more vibrant looking. I never remembered seeing a classic comic Supes with such a dark red scheme to his boots and cape. I personally think the piece looks off because of it. However, I may be in the minority.
