Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

He looks perfect in that photo World'sGreatestDetective !

On a side note, where is the best place to buy these online in US? (preferably with free shipping) I want to get them shipped to my friend in US so he can send it to me in UK.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

looks good. DCC should offer accessory packs.

Agreed. Off the top of my head I can think of: various guns & playing cards for Joker, extra capes for BTAS Batman (draped & action), plants for Ivy, Bud & Lou (the hyenas), and I'm sure there's so much more they could do too. I might suggest that in their next q&a if they do another.

There is a precedent set, considering the fact that they've announced they're doing accessory packs for their Icons Series, which seems to be somewhat inspired by what they learned from this series, in terms of accessories, articulation, etc. Honestly, I think this is arguably the perfect line for accessory packs, due to the episode specific nature of each release. They can't do a Batman/Joker/whomever for each episode they appeared in, so, I think accessory packs would be a brilliant way to keep things fresh, without consistently rehashing items.

The potential is really endless. Just as an example, I'd love it if each pack included new accessories, some extra hands appropriate for some of those accessories, and, honestly, one or two alternate heads. One of the things about the show is that the designs are so versatile, but, also, unique. This latest Batman is a perfect example of it.

By all means, it's accurate to the show, but it's not exactly what some people might want (personally, though, while I haven't picked it up yet, I was in my LCS today, and seeing him in hand, I've not seen any photos that do justice to just how badass this figure is. The sheer presence of him up there on the rack; Riddler looks magnificent, as well), and that's okay, and I feel like accessory packs could open a lot of doors in that respect, with giving people the freedom to choose what they like best.

Take The Joker, for instance. An accessory pack could include , I don't know, the shopping cart, to complete the look from The Last Laugh, or, maybe, even, a crushed up Captain Clown for him to sit on (is he capable of that pose? I don't know that I've ever tried to do that cross-legged thing, even with those crazy splits he's capable of.:lol), as well as a Laughing Fish and floatation device from...well, The Laughing Fish :lol, or, maybe, the Kewpie doll, cane, and hatted headsculpt from Be a Clown, along with a selection of hands including one with his playing card from Joker's Wild? Then, maybe, they could top it off with an "expressive" sculpt (laughing/angry/disappointed; there were so many looks)?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

^ Exactly. there's just so many possibilities for accessory sets in this line. And as you said, DCC have shown willing to do these now so it's not beyond the realm of possibility. Extra hands, extra capes, extra headsculpts, extra weapons. There's so much they could offer that they could potentially do a number of accessory packs.

Exactly! There is so much they could do. Maybe some dioramas too.

What was wrong with the old face that they felt the necessity to change it.

It looked so much better than what we got in the end.
I am really thinking about giving mine back when he arrives. :(

Nothing wrong with the fig we got! At least he doesn't have the thigh and shoulder pin holes and that waist gap. Head sculpt is great looking IMO!

He is perfect, Zelu!

I did a pic collage with his mugshots for a better view of his face from all sides:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Thanks for the photos World'sGreatestDetective ! FRom view is perfect I'm still not 100% sure about the sides but anyway it is a great figure! I'm talking to few people on eBay to make a deal on all 3 so hopefully I can get them soon!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

^^ DOPE episodes, of course! :lecture

Man, I swear to you that I at least like ALL episodes. Seriously, there isn't one that I don't like.

But the weakest one that I can totally skip is "Moon of the Wolf"...
Totally random and poorly drawn... But the message about vanity is what holds it up.

You know that moon on the wolf episode was adapted from a comic written by Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams, right? But it actually is tied much deeper to the btas mythos because its where Milo (The former member of Roland Daggett's crew) meets his grizzly end. And he was in at least 15-20 episodes before this one.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I just re watched the commercial and I noticed that Harley looks very short! I hope this is just the angle as she should defo be taller!!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Isn't she smaller than the Joker on the show anyway?

Look:

And Joker is curved here. If he wasn't, Harley would look even smaller.

I know, but it never really caught my attention that much, you know? As I said, I like it - mainly because of the vanity message -, but it would be the one that I'd skip...

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah she is shorter than Mr. J but not that short! And if that's the size of Harley how small would be Ivy as she is shorter than her..

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

LMAO "The Laughing Fish" is such a great, great episode. :rotfl:lol

Those stills reminded me of it... Gotta watch it when I get home tonight. :rotfl

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Yeah this one is going to sell much quicker than TNAB for sure. Just for the better leg joints alone.

At least get him before the bat mobile comes out. Once the batmobile hits, this version will sell like hot cakes.

I know LCS will have limited supply, so act now online people because his price is going to be jacked up by xmas :lecture

I just preferred this look over TNBA. I didn't like the look of that show at all.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm giving him that gargoyle with retractable rope that came with the 2002 Toy Biz Spider-man figure from the movie.

Gonna look INSANE with him! OMG! :thud:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I always though for some reason that Ivy was shorter but I guess you are right :) That still doesn't change thr fact that Har;ey is a bit too short next to Joker :p
