Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I think I'm the only one who actually prefers BTAS Batman without any blue highlight.

I really dig how the DCC BTAS Batman looks and I've always digged how the Kenner Combat Belt Batman looks.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That paint might be ok. Only question I have is, is it cost effective? How much more, if at all, expensive would it be?

The bigger question would be, will they attempt it on the Batman in the Deluxe Batmobile set? So far, each Batman has had a new variation. I assume, other than the cloth cape, they would try to make the mask have that effect for further sales. For me, I didn't get the Batmobile yet, and for those that did may want this set for the signal and figures that can actually sit in the car.

Would the chameleon paint change anyones opinion on buying the set?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wouldn't change my mind. I don't need or want a second batmobile. Not a fan of the metallic paint either. I want the signal, but no incentive would make me buy another mobile. If they issued another 2 pack or a single card Batman with the chameleon paint I'd be interested.

I think it's cost effective for DCC to release a BTAS Batman with this iridescent blue paint app. I own a Batman Origins figure two pack from DC Direct that has that exact color cowl. I love that it changes color from dark blue/black to a shiny blue depending on how the light hits it. I'd post a photo, but it's in a storage box at the moment. Here is a poor photo from eBay to give you the idea though (the first appearance Batman looks more navy, it's the modern Batman that looks almost black, but shines slightly blue when the light hits the curves of the cowl just right):

The second issue batmobile is a bit of a dirty pool game. I can't justify buying another to correct a planning oversight by DCC. I'd happily buy a B/R two pack with the soft goods and forgive DCCs transgression:wink1:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Diamond updated their site to have the next wave scheduled to arrive on 3/30. Of course that could easily change, but I'm looking forward to that Gordon and Etrigan.

Great to know!

So, in February we have only the Mad Love 2-pack on 2/24. Then, a month later, on 3/30, we see the release of the next wave.

Can't freaking wait for Gordon and Zatanna! :yess:

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wait did I miss the TAS CW and TNBA batman reissues

well I don't really care about those highlights. it'd be a cool feature but nothing necessary.

See that's what I mean, if a company could try something like that look how much the figure pops to capturing the animated look :hi5:

And this is the bad proto type, notice the peg holes on the shoulders

It's the photo of the toyfair one indeed. the body might have been not very well, but I personally prefer this face over the finally released figure.
I would wish to see exactly this face with the Batmobile pack.

Nice!! Had to rush to look them up to see if the price changed. Luckily it's still the same, so that's one more wave I will actually purchase :D

Yes!!! Gordan and Zatanna are who I've been dying for! I could give a **** about Ra's lol

I really hope they release the Mad Love pack on the 10th right before VDay. I want to see what that damn set ends up looking like!

Have we seen yet what accessories the Mad-Love 2-pack will come with?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Who is Entrigan? Somebody please refresh my memory

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I hope Klarion comes with his own stand. I assume he will, and this will come packaged like the Phantasm pack

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Ok, stupid question, why are there variants to the Joker/Harley 2 pack?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I really wish all these came with peg holes on the feet and actual useful stands with pegs,my Bane and Creeper fall over every damn day!
