Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

In another topic... Talking about waves...

Where does Batgirl fit?

Is she in the wave of TNBA Riddler and Catwoman? What about BTAS Ivy and Freeze, what wave are they in?

:rotfl

I find it amusing to have to send DC Collectibles critiques on DC Comics products. I figure if any company should be getting it right in the first place...:slap

Me too.

I think they should ask Paul Dini, Bruce Timm, or any other director/producer of the show, to be creative consultants for this line.

I'm interested in knowing as well but do waves even matter any more? Look at most of the waves we've gotten so far. It seems almost a rare occasion that all 4 figures from a wave actually end up being released on the same date lol.

LMAO!! True!!

But my point in asking that was so that I could figure out who is to be revealed next... A BTAS fig or a TNBA one?

Any idea who sculpted Batgirl?

It was either Irene Matar or Gentle Giant. They are the ones sculpting.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

My money's on Matar. GG tend to do a better job.

Totally get the point. So hard to say... It has been their pattern to put out 3 BTAS and 1 TNBA character per wave or vice versa. So I guess that tells us we either have TNBA Riddler, Catwoman, and BTAS Batgirl plus one other TNBA figure or BTAS Ivy, Freeze, Batgirl and a TNBA figure. So it kind of looks like a New Batman Adventures figure.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I was getting the impression that we're down to 3 figures per wave. TNBA Riddler and Catwoman with TAS Batman Expressions set as one wave in March and now The Superman/Lois pack with Batgirl in July. That might mean TAS Ivy and Freeze in September with one other. I have no idea anymore for sure, though.

There's also the Batman Beyond 3-pack.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I wrote an email to DCC about Batgirl. Hopefully they delay that figure and make it better. I doubt it but it's worth a try.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

to me really looks a Catwoman body re-use... I really hope they have (AT LEAST) rescaled down the figure or this Batgirl will be easy remembered for be the most inaccurate piece in the line xDDD I did some PS of I would fix it if I was a DCC guy who cared :lol

Love the edits blebble! I think this would make her looks so much better. The only other thing I would change is to make her hair more visible if they can't do it over the shoulders and show more skin around her eyes.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

That looks so much better.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Excellent!! :hi5:
I'll be sending mine shortly.

I saw your photoshop idea and agree that she has to be as tall as Robin.
But, so far, we don't know how tall this prototype is, so I don't think scale is a problem now.

I hope you suggested them to fix the lack of hair on her shoulders and the long neck. Those are our #1 concerns, as of now.

You're right :) the point is that I've started the photoshop thinkin' she's a Catwoman/body re-use, the problem not even exist if they did it shorter :) I've just did it because DCC screw the correct scale sometimes and I thought was a good feedback to send them :D

right! looks better! :) I've did the PS on the rush and forgot to edit the hair. Nice job but your custom one still look better. Send it them way sayn' "this how you do it, folks" :D

She does have skin around her eyes, including under them, unlike TNBA Batgirl.
The problem is that clearly there was an error while coloring the image and that area turned out a tad darker than the rest of her skin color.

BBTS has a good zoom-in of her face, where you can see it better: www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=DCC12194&mode=retail

The more I see her, the more I'm convinced that what bothers me is really just the lack of hair and the neck. I'm really fine with the rest as is.

I love the hair you added here!! It's just like what they did with TNBA Batgirl: removed the part that falls over the clavicles, while still showing a lot in the back.
One solution for the folks that can't sculpt would, then, to get a loose and cheap TNBA Batgirl to remove her hair and glued it on the BTAS one.

Was thinking the same here.
Something tells me we'll be getting Scarecrow, Two-Face and Bane all in 2017 as well.

It's all good, man! I love your photoshop. She looks perfect next to Robin.
Hope that's how she really is.

Here's to a great reveal at NY ToyFair next month!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Does anybody have interest in DCC doing Hugo Strange or Jonah Hex? I'm just trying to see what other characters people would be interested in after Poison Ivy, Freeze, Two-Face, Batgirl, etc.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm down for both of those but Hugo Strange especially.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'd really rather have a figure of Jonah Hex from JLU "The Once and Future Thing" than the bald elderly Jonah from that BTAS episode.
