Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

what I see in first place on BTAS batgirl is that the head is too small and the brest is too big for this character. she was more like a teenaged girl, but not an adult woman. >__<
I'll wait for version 2 =P

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Why don't we all send DCC e-mails saying how much we dislike Batgirl's prototype?

Just us here would make it, what, 20 e-mails? That's a lot.

Bashing it here is nothing.

[email protected]

It worked for Riddler, Talia etc
Also, not that anyone noticed, but Bullock comes with his pistol, and the promo/solicit image never showed it.
Wonder why? I sent DCC an e-mail back in January saying that his main accessory was his pistol. And they included it. :wink1:

I've already sent mine. I think we could actually make a difference. The more e-mails we sent, the likelier we are to get a satisfactory response.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Excellent suggestion, WGD.

One of my pet peeves is when manufacturers insist they got no complaints until after a product was released. Collectors lament, "DON'T YOU READ THE MESSAGE BOARDS?!" 1. They're busy making toys for Santa. 2. There are a lot of boards out there.

DCC has been pretty good at responding to direct feedback, especially on this line. I'll be sending them a polite email. :)

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Exactly, MisterPL!

They don't read boards or forums at all. If collectors dislike something, they should e-mail the company or contact them via social media.
DCC doesn't interact with fans on social media like, for example, Neca does, on twitter.

But DCC does reply all e-mails from fans. So, e-mail them, guys!!

And yes, always be polite.

League of Shadows, we can make a difference. We've made it before.

Also, if anyone here is going to NY ToyFair next month, talk to Kevin there.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm in, thanks for the mail man! I've sent them my Photoshop idea. ;)

Excellent!! :hi5:
I'll be sending mine shortly.

I saw your photoshop idea and agree that she has to be as tall as Robin.
But, so far, we don't know how tall this prototype is, so I don't think scale is a problem now.

I hope you suggested them to fix the lack of hair on her shoulders and the long neck. Those are our #1 concerns, as of now.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Personally I think the neck looks long because of the lack of hair on the shoulders but whatever floats your boat. :)

That noggin definitely looks narrow.

It's a proportion thing as much as height. Blebble shrank the body and shortened the neck in his shop, and Barbara appears to have the bigger head she should have, even though the head is the same size. The body proportions work better as well. I like that shop a lot, even without hair over the shoulders.

Actually, according to Toynewsi.com, we know she is approximately 5.31" tall. Compare this to Lois, who is approximately 5.59" tall. If I'm understanding it correctly, Batgirl should about the same size as both TNBA Batgirl and Grayson Robin, yet smaller than Catwoman.

That's true. Just took a better look at it. I like that, too, though I still miss the rest of her hair.

Thank you for this! I haven't seen it!

Glad she's as tall as Robin, as she should.

Just measured Robin here, and he's 5.3"

One less problem?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Here's hoping. I thought the Superman and Lois figures in the solicits look a lot better than their original mock ups.

Also, BBTS finally got the current wave in stock.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Here, they virtually match at their shoulders, then it's a matter of neck.

Then, here, they match at their heads, having precisely the same height, with their respective proportions.

So, apparently, they got their heights right? We'll have to wait to see how her proportions will turn out to be.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

They clearly reused Selina's body in that photo. Maybe it was just for mockup purposes and the figure will have a more appropriate body?

Yeah, just like how Supergirl doesn't have a giant head and big clown shoes, Livewire doesn't have stubby arms, Talia doesn't have arms that are way too long, and TNBA Scarecrow got the shadows on his face.

That's why I'm waiting for ToyFair to judge it better.

I'm also hoping more people send them e-mails asking for the mentioned changes.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

They clearly didn't get enough emails to warrant fixing the issues I mentioned above with other figures. It's a little disconcerting.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I find it amusing to have to send DC Collectibles critiques on DC Comics products. I figure if any company should be getting it right in the first place...:slap
